    As (Y/N) and Chuck saw the other boys circle and laugh at the new boy that came up to the Glade, (Y/N) sighed with annoyance, making Chuck look at her.

    "What is it?" he asked innocently and (Y/N) frowned slightly.

    "Why do they always do that? Stupid Shanks." She complained.

    She never liked the way the other Gladers enjoyed scaring the Greenies when they arrived. It was really unfair and inconsiderate from their part to do so in her opinion.

    The girl started making her way towards the Box, despite being a long way still. Chuck ran after her.

    Suddenly they saw the new boy get up from the ground and start running away.

    "Hey, we got a Runner!" she heard Zart say loudly and scoffed.

    "Yeah, that's just great." (Y/N) said sarcastically, but a bit amused.

    She understood the boy was in a panic, but he would soon see he had nowhere to go.

    That was until the boy fell down and started looking around. (Y/N) grimaced at his fall but also laughed a bit. This boy looked like a spark of energy.

    This turned not so funny when the boy noticed the wall's Doors open. (Y/N) frowned at that, her gut telling her something wasn't right. She quickened her pace towards where the boy was. He had to be distracted quickly before he could have any ideas. However, before she could get close or the boy could even notice her, he quickly started running in the direction of the Doors.

    That's when the other Gladers started to panic.

    "Shit!" (Y/N) cursed as her (E/C) eyes widened and immediately started chasing him.

    She really put her back into it. The last time she had to sprint so fast was when she had to race all the other Runners.

    The other Gladers started cheering for her and she felt like punching them in the face, it was their fault the Greenie was so scared and trying to blindly run away.

    She noticed the boy had lost a bit of speed after the others started to cheer so she made an extra effort to increase her speed and finally, when they were just a few meters from the Doors, she tackled the boy to the ground.

    She had done that with so much force it even took them both down, the Greenie coughing for air.

    (Y/N) couldn't help the smile on her face, the rush of adrenaline and the entire situation had been sort of fun after the tense days she went through.

    The new boy was lying on his back and she put her hand on his chest so he couldn't get up. She couldn't risk him getting up and start running again.

    "Sorry, Greenie. Can't let you go through there." She said light-heartedly as she lightly gasped for air after the sprint she had to make.

    She didn't hear an answer from him. He was gasping for air so intensely, she was sure the only thing he could hear was his heart beating in his ears.

    She kept him lying down, though she let him get up on his elbows. She was still looking at the Doors, thinking of the mess that could have happened if the Greenie had gone through them. She felt like he had said something, but it was imperceptible, so she turned towards him to finally engage him in some sort of conversation.

    "That was quite the dash you made there, though!" she complimented as she finally had turned to look at him fully, his face close to hers after he got up on his elbows.

    When their eyes met, they both gasped quietly.

    She could see he didn't recognize her, but his beautiful brown eyes didn't hide the assessing he was making of her face.

    Her carefree smile disappeared and gave way to a shocked grimace, which she noticed made him slightly frown in question. He was confused.

    His brown eyes were also fixed on her now worried and incredulous (E/C) ones.

    Before she could control her hand, it made its way towards his cheek, cupping it gently.

    She couldn't believe she had his face right in front of her. She couldn't believe she was seeing it outside of her dreams and memories. She couldn't believe he was there, looking basically the same way he did in some of her last memories.

    "You're here." the words, despite very quiet and almost imperceptible, escaped her mouth without her even realizing.

    He was there!

    Thomas was there!
