"Oh, I printed it off last time I was in here. Uh... you guys were sleeping," he clarified at Carlos's puzzled expression. "Look, I just-- Your printer's so much better than mine, and you installed these hacks and it runs so much smoother than mine and–"
"Out! Now," Carlos ordered.
"Fine. Fine," Chad held his hands up as he walked to the door.
"Chad!" Carlos called.
"What? Hmm?" Chad replied, annoyed.
"Leave the key," Carlos told him.
Chad grumpily placed the key on the desk before exiting the room.
Carlos turned back to Mal, who looked lost in thought. "Mal?"
"Hmm?" she said, coming back to reality.
"My potion?" he asked.
"Hmm. Yeah. Um..." Mal pulled out a small box. When she took off the lid, she revealed a small gummy bear.
"So, this thing will make me say the perfect thing to y/n so I can ask her to Cotillion without messing anything up?"
"Yeah. I mean, this is a truth gummy, so you'll know exactly what to say and when, so take it or leave it," Mal said as she held it up.
"Perfect."
Just as he reached for it, Mal retracted her hand.
"Are you sure that you want to be taking this? Because this is gonna make you say the truth all the time, no matter what, and the only reason that I'm asking is because I know that if I took this right now, I would get myself sent back to the Isle. Which, it's not that that sounds super unappealing, but you know..."
"Yeah. I'll take my chances, I guess," Carlos said.
"Okay." Mal let her hand drop to the side, but before she lifted it up, Dude jumped from the bed and ate the gummy from her hand.
"Ohh! Bad dog!" Mal exclaimed.
Dude sat on the bed and shook his head. "Man, that thing was nasty!" he said. "And you—you just got to man up. And while you're at it, scratch my butt."
Carlos and Mal stood frozen as they looked at the dog in shock, until Mal broke the silence.
"You heard him. Scratch his butt," she said before turning and leaving.
"Mal. You're just gonna leave me with him?" Carlos asked.
"Come on. You scratch your own all the time," Dude said.
Carlos rolled his eyes. "This is a disaster," he muttered to himself.

Meanwhile, on the Isle of the Lost, a certain sea witch's daughter was watching Mal and Ben's interview of earlier that day on the TV in Ursula's Chip Shoppe with disgust.
"Ugh! Poser," Uma, Ursula's daughter, scoffed as she threw food at the screen.
"Traitor!" Harry Hook, son of Captain Hook, added in his Scottish accent.
"Hello?" Uma said to the crowd. They instantly picked up their food and flung it at the screen.
"Oh, I would love to wipe the smiles off their faces," Harry said as he wiped a bit of food off the television. "You know what I mean?"
Harry accidentally changed the channel while moving his finger across the screen, which switched to y/n and Carlos together at school, holding hands and waving to the paparazzi."
"Well, well, well, what is this?" Uma grinned.
"It's that De Vil boy," Harry laughed. "Well, isn't that princess of his a beauty?" he smirked.
