Percy's pov :
Annabeth and I were finally relaxing on the beach-something we hadn't done in a long time. Ever since that place, nightmares had haunted us, making moments like this feel almost unreal. A part of me was certain something big was about to happen.
She was animatedly explaining the design of a new temple she was building at Olympus, but I had zoned out, absentmindedly twisting a curl of her hair between my fingers. We were lucky-most of the Seven had made it out. Except-no. I wasn't going there.
Just as I was about to mention the strange feeling in the air, a new camper sprinted toward us. "Chiron is calling you both to the Big House," he panted before dashing off again.
Annabeth and I exchanged surprised glances. "Race?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You're going down," she challenged, her competitive side shining through.
"Nah," I said, taking off before she could react.
"Hey! That's cheating!" she called after me. I ignored her protests, pushing forward, and reached the Big House just a split second before she did. She was about to punch me when Chiron appeared, his expression grim.
"There's been a new prophecy," he announced, his voice heavy. "You six-and Nico-are part of it. I'm so sorry, but there's nothing I can do."
What?! We had just come out of a second war, and now the Fates were throwing another oneat us? Why did they hate me so much ?
"Can you repeat it?" Annabeth asked, her voice steady despite the tension in the air.
Chiron recited the prophecy.
"Insert prophecy here"
"Three worlds?" Annabeth murmured, her mind already working through the puzzle. "Do you know any of them?"
Chiron's expression darkened. "Yes. Yes, I do. And that is why you will have to tell the others. I have to notify someone. I'm sure you," he said, looking pointedly at Annabeth, "have already figured out who the heroes of our world are."Annabeth nodded, her face grim.
We went to the Hades cabin first to tell Nico. He didn't say much-just gave us a resigned look, as if he had finally accepted that peace was something he would never have.
When we told Leo, he just stared at us and asked, "This is a prank. Right?" When we didn't respond, he sat down on a chair, burying his face in his hands-along with some smoking and accidentally setting the chair on fire. Piper reacted similarly to both Nico and Leo, except she used more words and no fire.
We made our way to the portal to tell Hazel and Frank. Ja- No. Not him. He wasn't there anymore.
Don't think about it, I told myself.
Hazel and Frank's reactions mirrored our own: disbelief mixed with weary resignation. They decided to appoint temporary praetors for the time being, since they needed to travel to Camp Half-Blood.
We returned through the portal the Hephaestus cabin had built and Zeus had enchanted.
Both camps had unanimously agreed to name teh portal after Jason-partly to honor him, and partly to satisfy Hera. After all, it was because of her that the two camps had united in the first place. The Seven-no, six now-had suggested it when the question of a name came up, and no one had objected.
Question time:
Which song reminds you of any Kotlc hp or pjo/HoO book or any ship?
Sorry for not updating on Wednesday. I have decided that I will update on Mondays instead since I go to the library on Wednesdays and borrow 4 books(the maximum), so I don't really feel like writing and my books are always over by Monday, no matter what. So, it would definitely be better if I kept it like that.
Constructive criticism is appreciated
