game type: jack of spades? 8 of spades? i'm not sure

The world had gone to hell.

Tokyo, once full of life and endless possibility, was now a graveyard of all things long forgotten. The air reeked of the stench of blood and decay, and the distant sound of screams had long since faded into white noise.

You were running for hours now, muscles aching, fingers clutching tightly to your bow as though it were the only lifeline left. Hesitation meant death, and you were in no mood to die. Not here. Not in a Game of Spades.

You ducked behind the ruins of an overturned car, panting softly as you scanned the streets. The game rules had been simple-Survive until the time runs out. One day. 24 hours. And then, miraculously, all the infected would drop dead.

But making it to the end? That was the hard part.

And there he was, in all creation and life surmounted by destruction and blood-stained streets.

Ryohei Arisu.

He stood there, wide-eyed, frozen in place as if fear had taken a hold of him.

"Are you fucking with me right now?" you muttered to yourself. And, of course, because the universe had a sick sense of humor, a zombie lunged at him from behind.

Your body went before your brain could comprehend. You reached for an arrow, nocking it in one fluid motion before releasing it with deadly precision. It shot in the air with a whizzing sound as it sailed right between the eyes of the zombie. It gurgled with sickie breath before it slowly crumpled at Arisu's feet.

For a second, he just stared at the corpse.

Then, slowly, he turned toward you, eyes blown wide with something between shock and recognition.

But you weren't in the mood for reunions.

You ran toward him, grabbed his wrist, and yanked him forward. "Run!"

And, thankfully, this time, he listened.

You sprinted through the ruined streets, weaving between the abandoned cars and collapsed buildings, the snarls and groans of the infected echoing behind you. He wasn't nearly as fast as you, his steps a bit uncoordinated, his lungs gasping for air. But he kept up with you, his hand holding yours tightly.

"Didn't think I would see you in one of these," he huffed, voice still slightly breathless.

"Life's full of surprises."

The base wasn't far. Just a little more.

But since nothing ever goes according to plan, a large group of zombies suddenly filed out from an alleyway, blocking your way.

Your heart sank. Damn it.

Arisu instinctively stepped back, but you had already reached for an arrow and let it fly, sinking it right into the forehead of the nearest zombie. Almost immediately, another lunged for him and you were back in action, letting fly a second arrow that hit it right on the mark.
