CHAPTER 3: REJECTION

Start from the beginning

I still cannot believe she rejected me I still can't believe she turned me down to be her partner.

It stings, but honestly, let's see if she can resist this now. I'm not about to let it slide that easily.

I know she likes girls too-I've seen her with that one girl from my 12th-grade class.

If she could date her, maybe there's a chance she'll change her mind and give me a shot. Guess I'll just have to wait and see how things play out.

"Hayst, Fiona kelan mo kaya ako mapapansin?"

Fiona

Being the host for this event tonight is a huge responsibility.

Honestly, I didn't sign up for this, but my mom owns THRU, and because of that, she somehow decided that I should be the school president, even before the school year even started.

It's a lot to handle, especially since I never really thought I'd be in this position. But here I am, stepping up, even though I wasn't quite ready for all of it.

"Focus, I should forget what she asked me"

Yesterday, I was completely caught off guard when I left Room 222, Section C. There was this girl who randomly approached me and asked if I wanted to go dance with her.

I was like, "Like gurl, I didn't even know who you are!" Lakas ng amats, right? I told her no, that I wasn't interested.

I'm into girls, but based on her look, she wasn't really my type.

Maybe if I had known her back then, things could have been different. But who knows? Sometimes, it's all about timing and the connections we make.

"Gagi, wala pang brief na masuot"

I'm feeling so much pressure to get dressed in my suit right now. Why do I feel this way? It's almost like there's this expectation, and I can't shake it.

My sister texted me to take the cash from her drawer in her room.

Normally, I don't go in there without her permission, but she asked. I've always respected her space and her things, so this is a little unusual for me.

She's pretty protective of her belongings. She doesn't like anyone touching her stuff, and I've always made sure not to cross that line. But today feels different.

As I stand in front of the mirror, I can't help but admire how I look. The green suit I chose really suits me-there's something about the color that just feels right. It's like a perfect match for tonight.

I'm excited to see how everyone else looks, especially Kiesha and Bryce. This is our first time going to a party at school, and I can't wait to experience it all with them.

While I was waiting for my cab, a white car suddenly pulled up beside me. The driver, a man I didn't recognize, asked if an "Arnsvelt" lived here. I told him that my sister was the one he was probably looking for.

He stared at me for a moment, like he was trying to figure something out, his eyes scanning me. It felt strange, almost like he was reading me in some way.

After observing , he just nodded and drove off. It was odd, but I tried to shake it off. What was that all about?

"Problema ng kupal na yon, lakas ng amats ah?"
