Finally, after a week of anxiety and preparation, the big day had arrived. Lewis and Priscilla, as they had agreed, met early before starting their journey to SpaceX. They were determined to support each other, knowing that first impressions always count, and the nervousness of entering such a competitive and innovative environment was palpable.
Upon entering the company's campus, the size and grandeur of the place left them even more impressed. The environment was immersive, with rockets on display, prototypes of spacecraft being assembled, and high-tech screens scattered everywhere. It was like being in the heart of a future they only saw from afar, in the news and documentaries. But now, they were there, about to be part of this revolution.
Lewis, with the expression of someone who couldn't quite believe what was happening, looked at Priscilla and said:
"Never in a thousand dreams would I have thought I'd be here, Priscilla. At SpaceX, working with the greatest geniuses on the planet... I won't let this opportunity slip by. I'm going to give my all to show that I can truly contribute." He said with the energy of someone ready for anything.
Priscilla smiled, admiring the determination in Lewis's eyes. She knew he had potential, and like him, she was equally willing to do her best.
"Me too, Lewis. I won't let anything stop me. I'm going to give my all, my best, to learn, grow, and really contribute to SpaceX," she replied, with a sparkle in her eyes and growing confidence. She was nervous, yes, but the opportunity to be there, alongside such brilliant people, made any fear seem small.
Upon entering the SpaceX headquarters, they were directed to a large conference room where several other interns were gathered. The environment was lively but also charged with palpable tension. Everyone seemed anxious for the day to begin, and the conversation was a mix of excitement and nervousness.
Priscilla sat next to Lewis, exchanging looks of anticipation. What came next seemed like a dream, but reality was about to happen. They knew the journey would be challenging, but at that moment, they couldn't deny they were ready to start.
Soon, the lights dimmed, and a giant screen lit up at the front of the room. A promotional video from SpaceX started playing, showing impressive images of rockets launching, satellites being sent into space, and successful missions. The images were intense and inspiring, and all the interns there seemed to feel a wave of admiration and reverence for what they were about to be a part of.
Suddenly, the video was interrupted, and to everyone's surprise, the most anticipated figure entered the room. Elon Musk. The entire room fell silent, and all eyes were on him as he calmly entered, with that unique demeanor of someone who seems to carry the weight of the world, but also with a noticeable lightness.
Elon Musk was not just the CEO of SpaceX. He was the icon of innovation. The man who had transformed the future of space exploration. And now he was there, in front of everyone, ready to give the lecture that would mark the beginning of the journey for his new interns.
He walked up to the stage and, with an almost disconcerting calm, looked at everyone present. His expression was serious, but at the same time, there was a genuine energy in his gaze.
"Good morning, SpaceX interns." Elon's voice was clear and direct. "Welcome to SpaceX, the company that does not limit itself to the possible." He paused, as if those words needed to be absorbed.
Priscilla and Lewis exchanged looks, feeling the weight of those words. They were there not just to learn but to be part of something much bigger.
"Here, we are not just making rockets," Elon continued, with characteristic calm. "We are changing the way humanity sees space and the future. With each launch, with each new advance, we are writing a new chapter in history. And you, as interns, are part of this journey."
