The office buzzed with anticipation as Ragini walked into the conference room, her heels clicking against the polished floor. Hazel was practically bouncing on her toes, clutching her tablet like it was a holy artifact.
"I still can’t believe this is happening," Hazel gushed, scrolling through the profiles of the world-famous group. "BTS is coming here. Like, physically, in this building. Do you know how huge this is?!"
Ragini set her notebook on the table and arched a brow at her overly enthusiastic best friend. "I’m guessing pretty huge, considering you’ve said it about fifty times already."
"Rini, this isn’t just huge. It’s life-changing,THE BTS. Global icons, record-breakers, my first and only true loves!" Hazel declared, placing a hand dramatically over her heart.
Ragini arched an eyebrow at her best friend, trying to keep her professionalism intact. "I thought your first love was Chris Hemsworth," she teased, setting her notebook down on the table.
Hazel waved her off dramatically. "That was a phase, Rini. This is destiny!"
Alex snorted as he leaned back in his chair. "Destiny? What are they gonna do, knight you as their honorary fangirl?"
Hazel shot him a glare. "I’m ignoring you. You wouldn’t understand—" She turned to Ragini, who was busy organizing her notes. "Come on, Rini, you get it, right?"
Ragini gave her a calm smile. "I get that they’re incredibly talented and influential, but I’m not exactly the fangirling type."
"She’s too busy waiting for her prince charming," Alex chimed in with a smirk, earning himself a glare from Ragini.
"It’s not about waiting," Ragini replied, crossing her arms. "I just believe there’s someone out there who’s made just for me. And when I meet him, it’ll feel right. Until then, I’m not wasting time swooning over anyone."
"Spoken like a true romantic," Alex teased, nudging Hazel. "You hearing this? She thinks Mr. Perfect is gonna ride in on a white horse."
Hazel grinned. "Don’t knock it, Alex. At least she has standards. Unlike you, who probably thinks soulmates are decided by swiping right."
"Hey, I’ve got standards," Alex defended himself, holding up his hands. "They’re just… flexible."
Before Hazel could respond, their manager popped into the room, a hint of urgency in his tone. "Five minutes, everyone. The group will be here shortly."
Hazel straightened instantly, her tablet clutched to her chest. "This is it," she whispered excitedly.
Ragini exhaled, centering herself. This wasn’t just any meeting—it was their chance to land one of the biggest collaborations of their careers.
As the door closed behind the manager, Alex leaned toward Hazel and whispered, "Ten bucks says you forget how to speak the moment you see Taehyung."
Hazel swatted him with her tablet, her face flushed. Ragini hid a smile as she glanced at her notes, her resolve firm. Whatever happened next, she knew one thing for sure: she wouldn’t lose herself in the chaos. This was her job, and she would see it through, no matter how famous the faces sitting across the table were.
The elevator dinged, and the BTS members strode out, their presence commanding attention. Namjoon led the group, radiating calm authority, while the rest followed, each exuding their own brand of charisma. Jungkook was at the back, hands in his pockets, a smirk already curling on his lips.
Hazel whispered to Alex, “This is unreal. We’re breathing the same air as literal gods.”
“Keep breathing,” Ragini murmured without looking up, straightening the stack of contracts on the table. “We have a job to do, not a fan club to run.”
