The next morning, Ragini stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the collar of her crisp white blouse. Another day, another challenge. She barely got any sleep, not because she was overthinking anything—especially not about a certain cocky superstar. Absolutely not.

Hazel strolled into the room, sipping on her iced coffee like she owned the place. “Okay, spill. You were zoning out at breakfast, and for someone who usually roasts the life out of us first thing in the morning, that’s suspicious.”

Ragini grabbed her bag, rolling her eyes. “I was just thinking about work, Haze. You should try it sometime.”

Alex leaned against the doorframe, smirking. "Right. And by ‘work,’ you mean a six-foot heartthrob with a massive ego?"

"God, not you too." She sighed dramatically. "For the last time, Jungkook is nothing but a client. An extremely annoying, self-absorbed one at that."

"Mhm. That’s exactly what girls say before they fall flat on their faces in love," Hazel teased.

Ragini shot her a pointed look. "You know what? I hope your coffee tastes like regret."

Alex burst out laughing, wrapping an arm around Ragini’s shoulder as they walked out. "Come on, Rini, let’s get to work before you start plotting murders this early in the morning."

By the time they reached the office, Ragini was all business. No distractions. No nonsense.

She walked into the conference room where BTS was already seated. Namjoon greeted her with a polite nod, Jimin and Taehyung offered casual waves, but Jungkook? He lounged back in his chair, legs stretched out, watching her like she was the most entertaining thing in the room.

"Miss Head Strategist," he drawled, lips curving into a smirk. "Dressed up just for me?"

Ragini didn’t even spare him a glance as she set her files down. "Not everything is about you, Mr. Jeon."

"Oh? You say that, but here you are, looking all sharp and serious." He tilted his head. "Trying to impress someone?"

She finally looked at him, expression blank. "Yes. My reflection in the mirror. Now, if you’re done fishing for attention, can we begin?"

Jungkook chuckled, but there was a glint in his eyes, as if he was enjoying this too much. Oh, this was going to be fun.

Jimin leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand as he smirked at Jungkook. “Damn, Kook. That’s gotta sting. She shut you down like you were an unpaid internet bill.”

Taehyung snickered, nudging Jungkook’s shoulder. “She didn’t even blink, bro. I’ve never seen a girl ignore you this hard. Is this what rejection feels like? Should we call an ambulance?”

Jungkook shot them both a glare, sitting up straighter. “Tch. She’s just playing hard to get.”

Jimin raised an eyebrow. “Or maybe she genuinely doesn’t care?”

Taehyung hummed, nodding. “Yeah, Kook. Not everyone in the world is dying for your attention, you know.”

Jungkook scoffed, running a hand through his hair. “Please. Give it time. No one can resists me forever.”

Jimin and Taehyung exchanged amused glances before Jimin leaned back with a dramatic sigh. “Ahh, the denial stage. It’s always fun to watch.”

Taehyung grinned. “We should place bets. I say she keeps ignoring him for at least a month.”

Jimin held out his hand for a handshake. “Two months.”

Taehyung shook it, sealing the deal. “Done.”
