Mikhail's POV
I sighed and shake my head, that omega is arrogant. "Are you okay, Mikhail?" Lucia asked as we dragged Elliot.
I glances at Elliot who's technically drunk, he can't even walk straight. "How many glass he drunk?" I asked.
"I don't know, but I'm glad they gave him a permission to drink because of his child appearance."
I couldn’t help but chuckle at Lucia’s comment, even though my mind was still unsettled by the encounter with Rai. Elliot’s state, however, was a small relief in all the chaos.
"Seems like he’s had a bit too much fun tonight," I signed, shaking my head as I watched Elliot stumble.
Lucia laughed softly and helped steady him. "Well, at least he’s in a good mood, even if he can’t walk straight." She grinned, her eyes lighting up with a playful glint. "Let’s just hope he doesn’t get us into trouble with his drunken antics."
I raised an eyebrow at her and signed, "You’re not worried he’ll do something crazy?"
She shrugged. "Not really. He’s too stubborn to actually get himself in serious trouble." She glanced at Elliot with a soft smile. "But if he does, I’m sure you’ll handle it, Mikhail."
I wasn’t so sure about that. With everything that had happened today, and with Colton’s presence lingering like a storm on the horizon, I wasn’t sure if I could handle much more. I shook my head again, trying to push the thoughts away.
"Let’s just get him back," I signed, my voice calm but my mind far from it. "I’m not in the mood for more surprises."
Lucia nodded, and we slowly made our way back, making sure Elliot didn’t fall over too many times along the way. Even though we were laughing, the tension still hung heavily in the air. It felt like the calm before another storm.
We were walking back home when Rai blocked our way, Lucia frowned and raised her eyebrows. "Excuse me, Can you move?" She asked.
"Oh, I just wanna give you something Mikhail" Rai said and stepped forward and then slapped me. I gasped.
"That's for being attention seeker! Colton and I should be married but you! You came in the picture and ruined everything!" He said, angrily.
I stood frozen, my cheek stinging from the force of the slap. I could feel the warmth of the insult burning deeper than the physical pain. My heart was racing, my breath shallow, but I couldn’t make myself move. His words echoed in my mind, but I didn’t want to believe them.
Lucia stepped forward, her eyes narrowing as she glared at Rai. "What the hell is wrong with you?" she demanded, her voice sharp with anger. "You don’t get to lay your hands on Mikhail."
Rai’s lips curled into a mocking smile. "You think I care about your little warning, Lucia? Mikhail’s nothing but a distraction." He scoffed, stepping closer to me, his scent mixing with that of Colton’s. It made my stomach churn. "He doesn't belong with Colton. I do."
I could feel the tension crackling in the air as Lucia stepped between us, her aura radiating with alpha energy. "You’re delusional," she spat, her voice low and dangerous. "Colton doesn’t need you. And neither does Mikhail."
Rai sneered, clearly unfazed by Lucia’s presence. "You don't understand, do you? Colton is mine. You can try to stop it, but in the end, he’ll choose me."
