DXD WORLD

Ruval sat alone in her room, eyes fixed on the paused video—the image of Issei holding the vial of holy water burned into her mind. Anger simmered beneath her calm facade, cold and bitter. Her gaze drifted to an old photograph resting on her desk: a childhood photo of her and Riser standing side by side. There was no Ravel, no Lady Phenex, no peerage—just the two of them, smiling as if nothing in the world could touch them.

If you looked closely, there was something telling in the eyes of the younger Ruval—a glint of possessiveness, quiet but unmistakable. Riser had always been her little brother. That hasn’t changed. Not really. She missed how he used to run into her arms, laughing, hugging her like she was his whole world.

Even though she always presented herself in her male form, sometimes—just sometimes—she would let her guard down around Riser. The way she teased, the softness in her voice, the way her mannerisms slipped... Riser would joke and call her "girly" then, laughing like it meant nothing. He never realized the truth—that Ruval was, in fact, a girl.

Ruval had taken a screenshot of the video—Issei holding the vial of holy water—and uploaded it to the web without hesitation. She knew exactly what she was doing. This would spread like wildfire. After all… everyone loves a scandal.

The Next Day

Just as she predicted, it only took hours.

The image went viral across the underworld and beyond. Forums buzzed with fury and speculation. Outrage clashed with support—many decried Issei, others defended him. But one truth cut through the noise: his so-called victory was now tainted.

The backlash hit fast and hard.

Riser’s parents—the same ones who had cast him out, who’d turned their backs when he was at his lowest—were now demanding justice. As if they hadn’t abandoned him themselves. As if their silence hadn’t damned him long before this.

Hypocrites.

And then there was Ravel.

She had been with Issei when the news broke. Her reaction was immediate and unfiltered. She slapped him—hard—across the face. Her voice trembled with rage as she screamed at him, tears brimming in her eyes. She didn’t wait for an explanation. She simply turned and left, teleporting straight back to the Phenex estate without another word.

Rias and the others stood in stunned silence. No one knew what to say.

Asia looked away, shame etched into her face. The guilt hung heavy between them.

And the Gremory name? It was burning under scrutiny. Accusations swarmed—cheaters, liars, manipulators. Their carefully polished legacy was unraveling. Some chose to stay silent, unwilling to take sides. But silence, in times like these, spoke volumes.

Sirzechs acted quickly. Damage control was immediate, calculated. He had the authority, the connections, and the power to erase evidence—but not the momentum of a truth already set free.

He managed to take down some of the posts, scrub a few forums, silence certain threads... but for every image he deleted, two more appeared. Screenshots. Mirrors. Reuploads. The internet, especially the parts not loyal to Gremory influence, had already taken hold of the scandal. And the people? They weren’t letting go.

The Gremory family tried to address the situation with a carefully worded statement—measured, diplomatic, hollow. But the public wasn’t listening anymore. Their words were drowned out by the noise of betrayal, of righteous anger. A noble house that once walked with pride now found itself shackled by suspicion and scorn.
