The morning air was crisp as the group set out toward Rito Village, their destination clear: Vah Medoh. The divine beast loomed in the sky, its silhouette faint against the brightening horizon. Wild's gaze lingered on it longer than the others, memories of soaring through the frigid winds, of battle and triumph, flickering behind his eyes.
The journey was long, the terrain shifting from open fields to snow-dusted cliffs. The closer they got to the Tabantha Frontier, the colder the wind became. Wild, already used to Hyrule's unpredictable climate, barely seemed fazed, but Wind shivered dramatically, pulling his sailcloth tighter around him.
"Why is it always cold?" Wind grumbled. "I didn't sign up for this."
Time smirked. "You're from the ocean, right? Shouldn't you be used to the wind?"
"Yeah, but warm wind."
Wild chuckled. "You'll be fine. Just wait until we get to Rito Village—they have some of the best food in Hyrule."
Wind perked up instantly. "Oh?"
Sky raised a brow. "That's all it takes to get you moving?"
"Hey, don't judge me," Wind shot back. "Besides, if Wild says the food's good, it's gotta be worth it."
The group pressed on, the towering rock formations of the Hebra region becoming more prominent. The bridge leading into Rito Village finally came into view, stretching across a vast canyon. The sound of rushing wind and distant bird calls filled the air.
As they stepped onto the wooden walkways of the village, the Rito immediately took notice of them. A few warriors narrowed their eyes, gripping their bows instinctively. Wild, however, walked forward confidently, pulling back his hood just enough to be recognized.
"It's alright," he said. "I'm here to reclaim Medoh."
A murmur rippled through the gathered Rito, but before anyone could question him further, a familiar voice called out.
"Link?"
The group turned as a tall Rito with striking blue feathers approached. Teba, one of the village's strongest warriors, looked between them, his sharp gaze landing on Wild. His expression was unreadable for a moment, then he gave a small nod.
"It's been a while," Teba said. "I take it you're here for Medoh."
Wild nodded. "Yeah. I need to get inside."
Teba crossed his arms. "It won't be easy. The beast is still hostile. Whatever control we had over it is long gone."
"We can handle it," Warriors said, stepping forward. "We've dealt with worse."
Teba studied them before nodding. "If you say so. But you'd best be prepared—the skies are unforgiving."
Wild grinned. "Good thing I like a challenge."
The group exchanged glances. They had faced countless battles together, and now, another test awaited them.
The fight for Vah Medoh was about to begin.
