The moment Wild and the others stepped inside Vah Medoh, an eerie silence settled over them. The divine beast's interior was dimly lit, its ancient Sheikah mechanisms humming softly. Dust floated in the stale air, untouched for what felt like centuries.
"Stay sharp," Time warned, scanning their surroundings. "We don't know what kind of traps are still active."
Wild nodded, stepping forward cautiously. The echoes of his footsteps bounced off the metal walls as he activated the Sheikah Slate, bringing up the map of Medoh. "Looks like the control terminals are still locked. We'll have to activate them one by one."
Sky placed a hand on his sword. "Then we better get moving before Medoh decides to throw something worse at us."
As they moved deeper, the corrupted presence of malice became undeniable. Puddles of the dark substance oozed across the floors, pulsating as if alive. Suddenly, a monstrous shriek echoed through the chamber, sending shivers down their spines.
A guardian scout, twisted by malice, dropped from above, its single eye glowing with a sinister red light. Without hesitation, Wild drew the Master Sword, its blade shimmering with sacred energy. "Here we go!"
The battle was swift yet intense. Wild moved with precision, dodging the guardian's laser blasts while Sky and Wind struck from the sides. Time and Warriors provided cover fire, their arrows striking weak points with deadly accuracy. In a final clash, Wild drove his sword into the guardian's core, silencing it with a burst of light.
Wind let out a breath. "That thing was fast."
"And it won't be the last one," Time said grimly. "Let's keep moving."
They pressed onward, navigating the twisting corridors of Medoh. Each control terminal they activated brought them closer to the heart of the beast, but the lingering feeling of dread never faded.
As they reached the final terminal, the entire beast trembled. A deep, guttural growl resonated through the chamber, and the temperature seemed to drop.
Wild's grip on the Master Sword tightened. "It's here."
With a blinding flash, the malice gathered at the center of Medoh, forming into a monstrous shape. The air filled with a suffocating darkness as the entity solidified.
Wind took a step back. "That... that's the thing you fought before, isn't it?"
Wild swallowed hard, memories of his last battle against the Blight returning with full force. "Yeah. And we're taking it down."
The battle for Vah Medoh's freedom had reached its climax.
