Percy's pov:
I have never felt so free before as with Ares he doesn't make me feel like I have to do anything. He ensures I'm comfortable and confident in myself. The day I told him I felt ugly he tried to fight me because I was insulting his love. I laughed so hard that I cried. I had never seen him smile so much and it was just because I was laughing. I've fallen deeply in love with him.
"Oh, Ares I'm here to... um hi." I heard as the door opened and someone walked in but I didn't bother looking up from my book.
"If you're here to sleep with him not interested and if you're here to fight him again not interested he has me for both!" I growled causing a choked sound. I looked up and saw Athena standing in the doorway. "Apologises I've had a few run ins with Aphrodite this past few weeks and a few people who wanna test their weapons." I told her with a small smile but she shook her head.
"He asked me to drop some battle strategies in for him. I never realised he was keeping you as a pet Jackson. Annie has stopped speaking about you recently and I found it weird guess I know why." she smiled at Annebeth no longer involved with me.
"Yeah I love it here Ares has helped me open up to who I am and not be some warrior that can be sent to battle every time someone calls. I just wanted to be me and he has allowed that." I told her earning a nod of the head as she threw the plans on the coffee table.
"Tell Ares that everything is there for the next battle to come and that it is set. Also Jackson if you don't wanna be here I am willing to help so you can ask." she told me which I glared at her.
"I'm perfectly fine here! I'm happy with Ares without people interfering in my relationship to tell me I'm not safe or I'm being taken advantage of. I love Ares and I won't leave him no matter what I'm offered!" I growled at her causing her to look annoyed.
"I'll offer you a chance to be with Annebeth. Have all your friends around and be happy again. What more could you want no more gods calling for quests just peace." she offered causing me to laugh at her as she thought I'd give up Ares for that.
"Never gonna happen I'm happy and who wants peace when I can help the god of war!" I called before lifting my book and turning to leave. I saw Ares standing there with a huge smile on his face meaning he heard all of that.
"Athena you may leave as I don't appreciate you trying to make him leave me here," he growled causing her to storm out of the room with a scream. "I always thought I had taken the choice from you and if you had the chance you would return but knowing you were willing to choose me. I love you so much Percy." he whispered so quietly that I almost thought I'd misheard.
"I love you more Ares. You gave me a new purpose and let me be happy instead of being in camp as I was depressed and nobody noticed." I told him gaining a long kiss. "Kisses and cuddles in bed as a way to end the day?" I asked earning a nod. I found that both Ares and Mars love to lay in bed with me just relaxing.
