"You should go." Y/n focused her gaze on the computer, it's low light seeming exceptionally bright in the dark room.
"Go where?" He kissed her shoulder. "Go here?" His mouth moved to her neck. "Or here?"
Y/n stayed silent. She wasn't sure how to dea...

"Everything is worse when you're gone"
It's a new school year.
This year, instead of a duo of two walking to Akademi, it was a tiny group of three. It was still Y/n and Osano, but this time Y/n's younger sister Ayano was coming along too, transferring for her second year.
Taro's younger brother Hanakō is supposed to be attending as well. Y/n vaguely remembered him. On the few times Y/n has been to the Yamada house, the younger male was always seemingly peeking out behind a corner staring at the female. No clue why. In the back of Y/n's mind she thought Hanakō was cuter than Taro, yet she's never spoken to him.
Osano had spent a majority of his break at the Aishi's household. He would never admit it, but the family unnerved him. He was only used to Y/n's apathy. Her sister's and mother's was just as off-putting, if not more. Her father, Jokichi was nice enough. He was always eager to talk to Osano, small or big reasons. Usually asking him how he felt about his daughter or his hobbies and such. He was borderline nosy it almost scared Osano if not for his wife and youngest.
Frankly the only reason Osano kept returning was just because he could be around Y/n as much as he wanted without needing a strong excuse. Osano did mean it when he said he'd wait as long as he needed to. Luckily, he was granted freedom to things Y/n wouldn't allow with anyone else.
He could hold her arm when they watched a horror movie and he got scared. He could silently cry into her shoulder when a tear jerking romantic movie played and deny it during and after. He could lay his head on her lap when he said he had a headache and feel her cold hands thread themselves through his hair. It was incredibly domestic but Osano wouldn't change it either way.
The orange haired male came back to the present when he felt Y/n's arm interlock with his own. That's when he realized the trio was close to the school.
Crossing the leafy arch that stretched across the entrance of the school, Y/n caught sight of Budo Masuta talking to someone. Last year, after the first meeting, he never spoke much to the group again. All that was left was fleeting glances and brief greetings. Maybe he didn't want to deal with the tsundere's stares. He did seem polite. He greeted almost everyone, save for the bullies and delinquents. He would have made a good addition to the group.
it was too bad.
"Hey."
Y/n and Osano looked over to see Taro walking up to them with Hanakō on his heels.
The older brother smiled at his friends. "Did you two have a good break?"
Y/n nodded as Osano shuffled a bit, mumbling a few words. Y/n glanced at her sister who was staring at Taro with a dazed out look on her face. A red blush spread across her face as she seemed to watch the male with hearts in her eyes. The girl cleared her throat and slightly nudged her younger sister to snap her out of whatever trance she was in. "This is Ayano, my younger sister. She transferred here for her second year."
Taro and Hanakō looked at Ayano who was still staring at the older male. That nudge didn't do anything. Taro gave an awkward smile, trying not to show his discomfort. "Oh, hello. It's nice to meet you. I'm Taro."
Radio silence still.
Osano and Y/n shared a look before the orange haired male decided to take charge. "Talk on your own time, let's go." He began leading the older girl back on path as the others fell in line with them.
Taro would've usually joked a bit about Osano's tsundere personality, but couldn't find it in him at the very moment. He wondered if his childhood friend felt the same way at first. Hell, Y/n didn't even make him feel offset like this, and her apathy was pretty bad to outsiders.
Hanakō nudged his older brother and jutted his head in the youngest Aishi's direction, frowning. 'What's up with her?' He mouthed.
Taro swallowed the tiny lump that was beginning to rise. He hoped it was just nerves and not bile. Not the best thing to deal with for the first day back. The teen responded with a shrug, though it probably just looked like he just slouched.
Hanakō tried pulling his older brother away. "Show me around." He demanded, not waiting for anyone in the group's answers as he led the way, speed walking.
Y/n felt Osano stop walking in place as her arm jerked back slightly. She turned her head to him and watched as he narrowed his eyes at Ayano, but declined to say anything.

Y/n sat at a desk in her little sister's classroom, chin on palm as her eyes followed Ayano, who was pacing back and forth.
"How could you never bring him to the house?" Ayano sighed. "He's the one, Y/n. It felt like colors were becoming real for the first time." The younger Aishi abruptly stepped towards her older sister. "Y/n, please. Help me win his heart."
Y/n sat in silence for a few minutes. She didn't need to be a fortune teller to see what was going to happen. She saw how Taro acted. He looked so uncomfortable.
That's where her problem was starting to appear.
She wouldn't deny growing close to Taro and Osano. She believes she cares for them. She'd do anything to protect them, even if it came to a head against her own sister or mother.
It was similar when it came to her father.
Ayano doesn't care about their father, so Y/n spent a majority of her childhood, that wasn't taken up from her mother teaching her, spending time with Jokichi. She didn't bother to act like she had emotions around him, he would have known either way, but he still appreciated having the ability to hold a conversation with his daughter.
Ayato wouldn't be able to successfully win Taro heart.
"Alright...I'll help." Y/n looked into her sister's eyes. "But don't be reckless."
