Master Windu, Anakin and I arrive at the coordinates Obi-Wan sent us, he has a blaster pointed at Cad Bane and I quickly ignite my lightsaber to corner Moralo Eval, Anakin joins me too. "Please! Do not kill Moralo Eval!" Moralo Eval screeches.
"Take him and Bane into custody. And make sure the Chancellor is returned safely to the palace." Master Windu orders.
I put my lightsaber away and watch as Anakin takes Moralo Eval away. I look over at Obi-Wan and see him and Master Windu speaking with Cad Bane until he is taken away. I walk over to Obi-Wan who smiles at me.
"You best get transformed back, looking at you like this makes me sick." I say turning away and joining Master Windu in the speeder.
"Now hang on one second!" He says jogging up to me, "is that any way to greet me after all this time?"
I glance over my shoulder, unimpressed. "I greeted you just fine."
Obi-Wan sighs, rubbing the back of his head. "I meant with a little more warmth. Maybe a 'Welcome back, Obi-Wan. I was worried about you'?"
I scoff. "You didn't even tell me about this mission. I had to find out after you 'died'."
Master Windu clears his throat. "We can discuss personal grievances after the debriefing. Get in the speeder."
Obi-Wan smirks at me before climbing in beside me. "Admit it. You missed me."
I cross my arms, refusing to meet his gaze. "...You best get transformed back. Looking at you like this still makes me sick."

"Once again, you have all distinguished yourselves in the eyes of the Republic. The people of Naboo are in your debt." Padme says before they board the ship back to Theed.
"It's all part of the job, My Lady." Anakin replies. I notice Padme's gaze lingering on him a bit longer than it should.
They all start making their way to the ship back to Theed, Anakin, Obi-Wan and I lag behind, "You look terrible."
"Being a criminal's not easy work." Obi-Wan replies, I can hear his usual sarcastic tone.
"If I'd known what was going on, I could've helped you. Too bad the Council didn't trust me."
"Anakin, it was my decision to keep the truth from you."
"I knew if you were convinced I was dead, Dooku would believe it as well."
"Your decision?"
"Look, I know I did some questionable things, but I did what I had to do. I hope you can understand that."
"You lied to me! How many other lies have I been told by the Council? And how do you know that you even have the whole truth?" I watch as Anakin walks away following the others and Obi-Wan turns around, his back facing me.
"Was it your decision to not tell me as well?" I ask quietly.
Obi-Wan exhales, tilting his head slightly but not turning to face me. "It was."
I stare at his back, waiting for more, but he doesn't continue.
"You should've told me," I say, my voice steady despite the storm brewing inside me. "You know I wouldn't have compromised the mission."
He finally turns, his expression unreadable. "I never doubted your abilities. But this wasn't just about the mission."
"Then what was it about?"
Obi-Wan looks at me, really looks at me, like he's weighing something unspoken. For a moment, I think he'll actually answer.
Then, he sighs. "We should get ready to leave."
I narrow my eyes at him but say nothing. Instead, I turn and walk toward the ship, feeling his presence close behind me. As we walk onto the ship back to Coruscant, I sit down in the main area, and Obi-Wan looks troubled, "what is it?" I ask, trying to ignore whatever he was thinking of saying to me back there.
"I'm thinking about what Anakin said, one moment." I watch as he disappears into the bridge, as the door closes I sigh and put my head in my hands, not long after Master Windu comes back.
"Is something the matter?" He asks, sitting down next to me.
I point at the door, "him."
Master Windu raises an eyebrow, but his expression remains unreadable. "Kenobi?"
I nod, letting out a frustrated breath. "He's being cryptic again."
Master Windu exhales through his nose, glancing toward the bridge door. "Obi-Wan carries burdens he rarely shares. But whatever it is, if it concerns you, it will come to light in time."
I scoff. "So I should just wait?"
"A Jedi must have patience," he replies, giving me a pointed look.
I roll my eyes. "That's the standard answer for everything."
Master Windu doesn't dignify that with a response, and instead, we sit in silence as the ship hums beneath us.
The door to the bridge hisses open, and Obi-Wan steps out, his expression composed but still distant. He hesitates when he sees us, as if debating whether to speak.
I don't give him the chance. "Did you figure out whatever it was you were brooding over?"
His lips twitch, but the usual wit doesn't come. "Not entirely."
I cross my arms. "Are you going to tell me what you meant back there, or should I prepare myself for more cryptic half-answers?"
He sighs, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "I meant that keeping the truth from you wasn't just about the mission. It was about... you."
I frown. "What does that even mean?"
Obi-Wan looks at me for a long moment, and I swear, just for a second, I see hesitation. Fear. Then he smooths it over with that carefully measured Jedi calm. "It means I had my reasons."
I groan, throwing my hands up. "I swear, Obi-Wan-"
Master Windu stands. "That's enough for now. Rest while you can. There will be more missions soon enough."
Obi-Wan nods, his gaze lingering on me for a second longer before he turns and walks back to the bridge, Master Windu following behind him.
I exhale sharply, rubbing my temples. "Patience," I mutter to myself. "I hate patience."
I sit there, alone for a few moments when the door hisses open again, I look over and see Obi-Wan walking towards me, "I have to stay here."
"Why?"
"There is something I have to confirm. You should go back to Coruscant, have a rest."
I groan hearing more cryptic things coming from him, "fine, I'll see you back there."
"You won't fight to come with me?"
"No. I'm sure you're more than enough." I say annoyed, "besides, I'm too tired to argue with you right now."
Obi-Wan blinks, clearly surprised. "I see."
I stretch my arms over my head, leaning back in my seat. "You'll tell me what this is really about when you're ready. Or you won't. Either way, I need sleep."
For a moment, he just stands there, watching me with that unreadable expression. Then, with a faint smile, he nods. "Rest well, then."
As he turns to leave, I catch myself watching him go, feeling the weight of something unsaid still lingering between us.
I sigh, leaning my head back against the seat. "Patience," I remind myself again, closing my eyes. "I still hate it."
