because In that darkness, all that remained was a chilling silence, punctuated only by the echoes of applause that now felt like a mockery of what had been. The vibrant dreams of love and family lay shattered, a testament to the fragility of happiness in a world where reality and illusion intertwined, and the true nature of despair loomed ever closer.

we return to the students as they saw Kokoro's execution and it was so messed up.

Max awoke in a healing chamber, the faint hum of machinery the only sound in the sterile environment. Water dripped from his skin as he gasped for breath, struggling to comprehend where he was. A quick glance around revealed he wasn't alone; beside him floated another figure—Chiaki Nanami, the Ultimate Gamer, known for her cheerful demeanor and unparalleled skills in video games. But something was terribly wrong.

Flashback

The memory surged unbidden, as if it were a film playing on repeat in his mind. He remembered the grim scene that had unfolded before him. The ghastly sight of Chiaki Nanami—Ultimate Gamer—silenced the hall in grim unison. Swallowed by a tide of broken consoles and monitors, her mangled body lay in a deep pool of crimson. Veins of shattered glass lined her delicate frame, her blank eyes staring at the heavens as though seeking answers that would never come.

Max's own body lay prone in the center of the room. His face was a mask of shock, his lifeless eyes wide open and blood trickling in sticky rivulets from the back of his head, where some unseen implement had struck. His torso was slashed with jagged marks, his arm peeled to reveal stark white bone that gleamed faintly in the dim light. A coppery scent invaded the room, thick and suffocating.

The room erupted. Students old and new screamed, their voices disparate and fragmented as they sought to make sense of the unprecedented:

Maxwell Carter, the glue of their unruly class—their leader......

.......was dead.

*Present*

Max shook his head, trying to banish the shadows of that horrific day. He could feel the trauma lingering in the corners of his mind like a dark cloud. With a trembling hand, he pushed the healing chamber open and stumbled out, his legs shaky beneath him. The room was adorned with advanced technology and dimly lit by soft blue lights. As he stepped out, he felt the cool air envelop him, grounding him to the reality of the moment.

Chiaki:......Max?

A soft voice broke through his thoughts. It was Chiaki, her cheerful demeanor returning as she coughed while stepping out of her own chamber,a bit wobbly.

Chiaki:Are we... alive?

Max met her gaze, relief flooding through him.

Max:I think so. But how? We were...

He faltered, the traumatic memories flooding back in vivid detail. He recalled the horror of the day he had fallen, the gruesome sight of Chiaki's lifeless form among a sea of broken electronics, and the pain that had enveloped him moments before everything went dark.

Chiaki:.....I don't know....

Chiaki murmured, her eyes wide with uncertainty.

Chiaki:But we have to find out what happened. The others must be worried.

With a shared resolve, they ventured into the heart of Nexus Academy. The hallways buzzed with life, vibrant students from various dimensions bustling about, laughter and chatter filling the air. But beneath the surface, an undercurrent of tension rippled through the atmosphere. Whispers of a new danger loomed, a threat to their powers and their very existence.
