But the living students were safe......for now......And they had found the second of the 7 Hyper Dragon Balls. More importantly, Max had found something within himself, or within his connection to the Orb, that no one, not even the Null Collective, could negate.
The quest for the remaining Dragon Balls was far from over. The dark forces were still out there. Betrayal still lurked in the shadows. But for the first time since the chaos began, Max didn't feel like just an average guy caught in a storm of the extraordinary. He felt like a pivot point.
The race against time continued. But now, the one who had always been underestimated held an impossible key, bathed in the light of pure potential, ready to face whatever came next.
Max looked at the Orb again, its light warm and steady. He didn't know what it truly was, or what being connected to its "frequency" meant. But he knew one thing: he wasn't helpless anymore. Not even close.
He took a steadying breath, the golden armor unwavering. The journey was long, fraught with unimaginable danger, but the first step had been taken. And this time, he wouldn't be just following along.
He would lead.
The fight for redemption, for revival, for pushing back the crushing tide of despair, had just found its unexpected champion. The average guy from an average world, armed with the power of pure existence, stood ready.
the students were looking for the third dragon ball which was rumored to be in the possession of a powerful mage, who resides in a fortress protected by illusions.
The air crackled with anticipation as Max, along with his classmates cautiously approached the fortress. The landscape shifted and shimmered, playing tricks on their eyes. One moment they were traversing a lush meadow, the next a barren wasteland.
Akko:Ugh, this is making my head spin.
Akko groaned, clutching her forehead.
Akko:Are we even going in the right direction?
Sucy:Maybe But the illusions are clearly messing with our signals. We need a way to see through them.
Issei:Maybe my Sacred Gear can pierce through the illusions?
Issei suggested, holding up his left hand.
Issei:Boost!
he yelled, but nothing happened.
Issei:Huh? Weird, it's not working. Maybe the illusions are dampening my magical energy?
Makoto, ever the observant one, scanned the environment.
Makoto:The illusions seem to be strongest where the magical energy is most concentrated. we need to find a weak point, a place where the energy is less dense.
Goku:Should i use my Ki?
Max, who had been mostly quiet, finally spoke up. He was still trying to wrap his head around everything, the fact that he was even here, surrounded by people with incredible powers, hunting for magical Dragon Balls. He felt completely out of place.
Max:Maybe... maybe we can use a sensory overload to break through the illusions? Like, create so much noise and light that the magic can't maintain the deception?"
the classmate's eyes lit up.
Ikaruga:That's actually a great idea, Max!WBY can use their Semblances to create a whirlwind and create a smokescreen while Akko use her magic to create a light show, and i boost Hien to add even more force to the wind.
Akko clapped her hands together excitedly.
Akko:Yes! My Shiny Rod can create dazzling bursts of light! I'm ready to make some magic!
