Sanskriti's POV

"You look like a dead frog."

I didn't even have to look up from my notes. "And you look like an unpaid extra in a horror movie, Buffalo, Your point?"

Dhruv dramatically clutched his chest. "The audacity of  my twin—"

"—who is trying to study while you sit here breathing too loud." I turned the page, pretending to ignore his presence.

"You're adopted." he huffed, stealing one of my pens.

"You  were the one who got stuck in a lift for two hours because you pressed all the buttons at once!" I said.

"Excuse me, I was six!" he protested.. and I facepalmed in frustration..

Dhruv was grinning now, knowing fully well that my blood pressure had just risen significantly. "Still your fault," he muttered, twirling the stolen pen between his fingers.

"You both are my headache," a familiar voice interrupted.

I blinked up at Arshika, who slid into the seat next to me, shaking her head. "Honestly, I don't know how anyone puts up with you two."

"Because we're the best" Dhruv said smugly.

I laughed ." That we are"

Arshika shook her head but smiled, pulling out her sketchbook. "What are you even doing here, Aru?" I asked, raising a brow.

She smirked. "Avoiding my assignment."

"Same," Dhruv and I said at the same time.

"Pathetic," another voice drawled, sending a shiver down my spine.

Parth.

I didn't need to turn to know he was already pulling up a chair like he owned the entire world. I ignored him, focusing on my notes.

Dhruv, however, was thrilled. "Hulk! You're just in time to witness betaal having a mental breakdown over cardiomyopathies."

Parth's gaze flickered to me

Parth's gaze flickered to me. "You? Having a breakdown? What's up?"

I inhaled sharply. "Parth Ramanathan, I will not hesitate to throw my pen at you."

"Is offering help considered a crime these days?" he said dramatically.

Dhruv leaned toward Arshika. "She just threatened me with the same thing five minutes ago."

Arshika nodded seriously. "At least she's consistent."

Before I could actually murder my twin, an overly enthusiastic voice interrupted.

"Parth, hey! I was looking for you!"

Dhruv and I both turned in sync. Oh. It was her.
