Hana had to admit-Hanwool had outdone himself this time. The way he twisted the narrative, turning their study group into delinquent legends overnight, was nothing short of diabolical. The video of them fighting off actual thugs had spread like wildfire, but thanks to Hanwool's clever editing, it now looked like they were the ones wreaking havoc. If she wasn't so personally affected, she might have even been impressed.
Might.
"Pi Hanwool, you are really something." She typed the message and hit send, shaking her head as she walked toward the school entrance.
And there they were-her poor, unfortunate friends-flailing as they tried to escape the swarm of students either demanding autographs or challenging them to duels. It was absolute chaos. Heewon looked one step away from sobbing, Jiwoo was fighting off an overly enthusiastic admirer who wanted to know if she was a thug.
Hana sighed. "Unbelievable," she muttered under her breath.
She had come to school alone today-Hanwool had claimed he had something 'important' to do. Now she had a sinking feeling she knew exactly what that was.
Her phone vibrated.
Hanwool: You're welcome, my love.
Hana rolled her eyes so hard she almost saw her past lives.
Hana: Remind me to kill you later.
Hanwool: Anything for you, Lex.
Hana sighed, finally catching up to Jun and Sehyun, who looked just as baffled as she felt. The absolute circus unfolding before them-reporters, YouTubers, and a horde of overexcited students practically flogging Jiwoo and Heewon-was not how she expected her school day to start.
"You're a student here. They say there's a gang in the school. Is that true?" a reporter asked, shoving a mic at Sehyun's face.
Sehyun blinked. Then blinked again. His brain cells were clearly buffering.
"Wait-the red hair!" one of the reporters suddenly gasped in recognition.
Hana barely spared them a glance before marching up to her dumbstruck friends. With a swift smack to their backs-because, honestly, they deserved it-she hissed, "Run." Then, without another word, she grabbed them and bolted.
"Yah! Jiwoo, MOVE IT!" she yelled, gesturing wildly for her friends to haul ass.
"Lee Jiwoo, RUN! Run, run, run!" Jun shouted, flailing dramatically as the chaos escalated behind them.
The reporters were already shouting, cameras rolling, while Jiwoo and Heewon desperately tried to escape the mob of students who were either interrogating them or trying to join their supposed gang.
Hana didn't bother looking back. She just knew one thing-Hanwool was so going to pay for this.
