Four Years Later

Ryu Hana was now a law student at Seoul National University. The past four years had been chaotic, to say the least. Between grueling studies, endless case readings, and late-night debates, she had barely caught a breath. Meanwhile, Hanwool had taken over his father's business, relentlessly working to clean it up and strip away the corruption that once tainted it.

And just like that, life had moved forward.

Now, she was strolling through the bustling streets of her university, phone pressed to her ear as she chatted with Jiwoo.

"Should we meet up? It's your birthday today, after all," Jiwoo asked.

Hana grinned. "How about tomorrow? Hanwool called me before you—said he has a surprise for me."

"Damn. I lost to that boy again." Jiwoo groaned dramatically.

Hana chuckled. "You should've called sooner."

"Ugh, fine. The study group will see you tomorrow, then. Expect an angry Jun," Jiwoo warned.

Hana laughed, picturing their ever-dramatic friend. "Noted."

Hana ended the call with a small smile, tucking her phone into her pocket as she made her way toward the university exit. Just as she was about to step out, two men blocked her path.

"Hey there! I'm Lee Kang, and this nervous wreck next to me is my friend, Junho. He has something to say." Lee Kang smirked, nudging Junho forward.

Hana raised a brow, shifting on her feet. Seriously? Right now? She chuckled awkwardly. "Uh... I really have to—"

Before she could finish, Junho blurted out, "Can we go on a coffee date?"

He said it so fast it almost sounded like one long word.

Hana blinked, caught off guard. "Oh. Uh..." She cleared her throat, offering him a polite but firm smile. "I have a boyfriend."

Junho's face fell instantly, and Lee Kang groaned, smacking his friend on the shoulder. "Told you, man! Should've started with 'Hi, how are you?' instead of launching straight into 'coffee date.'"

Hana suppressed a laugh, stepping aside. "Good luck next time, guys."

And with that, she walked past them, shaking her head in amusement—completely unaware of the figure leaning against a sleek black car, arms crossed, watching the scene unfold.

Hana's heart skipped a beat the moment her eyes landed on Pi Hanwool. He stood by his sleek black car, arms crossed, his sharp gaze locked onto her. His jaw was clenched, the muscle ticking—a telltale sign that he was anything but amused.

She knew that look. It was dark. Dangerous. Possessive.

But before he could make a move, before the storm in his eyes could unravel, she ran.
