Both the girl and the Touden Party, along with their new member, stood there in a disquieting silence. Neither side would allow their gaze to falter. Ruval could feel the convoluted expressions portrayed by herself and everyone. Her heart was left pounding endlessly in her ribcage, her identity now no longer a secret.
Why are they staring!?
Why is she staring?
There had to be a reasonable explanation for her sudden appearance and rather hasty manner of eliminating the Big Bat.
Granted, she had also asked for help. It was more so a matter of her being in the heat of the moment, and finding no other recourse, had no choice but to request assistance from a fellow elf. Just her luck.
The elf straightened herself out, finding her eyes wandering to the Big Bat behind her. She offered her sincerest regards and regret with a bow while eyes stayed glued to her.
"My deepest apologies. None of you should have bore witness to such a thing."
There was an awkwardness that filled the air. Much different from what she remembered back then. Where there used to be a sense of normalcy and tranquility in that calm, it was now replaced with an unpleasant, uneasy aura. One thing she logged away in that instant was their demeanors, as well as her own situation. Mouths began to move as she devised a few ideas, glancing up at the towering trees.
I need to leave this place. Now that these people are aware of my appearance, there's no telling what they may know or inquire of my person. Just focus. Get through this party and other dungeon dwellers and traverse forward. A solitary plan for a simple, quick getaway. Necessary and effective. I needn't linger here.
An overwhelming feeling, a stench she thought she'd purged herself of, would send goosebumps through her being. The voices, once clear and concise, had been drenched in a muffled static. Her ears rang like never before as the blonde man outstretched his hand, having gotten closer in the time she'd thought. She didn't dare try to listen to his questions or register his attempts of affection. A quick swat of his hand did the trick, and he stepped away, eyes drawn wide. The elf took a few steps back of her own accord, creating distance.
"Do not touch me."
"I was just--we just wanted to make sure you were okay."
"I'm just fine as I am. That wasn't the toughest duel I've had," She scratched the back of her head, nonchalant in her response.
"Yer sure? I reckon you'd be mighty tired after such a fierce battle. 'Specially with how little ye are," Senshi made note of her rather miniscule stature compared to the rest of them. Well, apart from Chilchuck, that is.
"Hey..." Her fists clenched up, unimpressed by the comment.
Just because I may not be sizable for my technique does not mean I'm fatigued!
"By the way, you plan on usin' that Big Bat?" Senshi pointed at the dead creature behind her.
Why would he ask such a thing? You know what--never mind. With all due respect, maybe some use could come from the pelt, but their coats can vary depending on the species. Since this is a Big Bat, if I were to harvest the fur, it would take too much time, and besides, it wouldn't be of any use to me. Maybe to someone else, but I've got enough of my own materials.
The elf girl turned back, replying with a standalone "No" while keeping a straight face.
"Why? Is your party in need of fur? Pelts?" She inquired.
