The city bustled with the usual morning rush, but inside a cozy home, an 18-year-old boy stood in front of the mirror, rolling up the sleeves of his crisp white shirt. His sharp features reflected confidence as he tousled his hair just enough to give it a casual, effortless look. A sleek silver watch slid onto his wrist, completing his look for the day.

With one last glance at the mirror, he stepped out of his room, making his way to the next door. Knocking twice, he called out, “Zara! Zara, wake up.”

Silence.

He sighed, already knowing what awaited him inside. Pushing the door open, his suspicions were confirmed—the room was a battlefield. Pillows lay scattered across the floor, the blanket tangled in a mess, and in the middle of it all, Zara was sprawled upside down on the bed, completely dead to the world.

Phuwin exhaled sharply and walked over to her, shaking her lightly.

“Zara, wake up! It’s already late.”

A muffled groan came from the lump beneath the covers.

“Wake up, idiot,” Phuwin continued, poking her arm. “If you don’t get your a*s out of bed right now, I swear I’ll leave you behind and go to college alone.”

Zara let out a whine, burying herself deeper into the blanket. “Phu, please… just five more minutes,” she mumbled sleepily. “Go away. Let me sleep.”

Phuwin pinched the bridge of his nose. He had been through this routine way too many times.

“How many times have I told you to sleep early?” he scolded, hands on his hips. “But no, you just have to binge-watch K-dramas all night, and now look at you! Completely useless in the morning.”

Zara cracked open one eye, frowning in confusion. “What are you talking about? Isn’t it Sunday today?”

Phuwin froze.

And then, dramatically, he slapped his forehead. “Oh my god… I cannot believe you! You actually forgot today is our first day of college?!”

Zara blinked, still half-asleep.

“Unbelievable,” Phuwin muttered, shaking his head. “You’re supposed to be older than me, but honestly, only in age! Not in maturity.”

Zara groaned, finally sitting up and rubbing her eyes. “Ugh, you’re so cruel to your sister,” she pouted dramatically. “Waking me up like this, scolding me early in the morning… How do you expect my day to go peacefully when you start it like this?”

“Okay, okay, enough with the drama,” Phuwin rolled his eyes. “Just get ready quickly, or I swear I’m leaving without you. You can take the bus.”

At the mention of public transport, Zara shot up immediately. “No way! Wait for me, you evil little—”

But Phuwin was already out the door, grinning to himself as he made his way downstairs.
