The past few days had been nothing short of a disaster-at least, according to their friends.
Phuwin and Pond were constantly at each other's throats-whether it was pranks, verbal fights, or just sheer childish bickering. It had become a daily routine, and their group was exhausted.
"Why do they even hate each other so much?" Dunk groaned one day, rubbing his temples.
"At this point, I don't think they even remember," Joong muttered, watching as Phuwin and Pond fought over who got the last seat in the library.
Meanwhile, in the middle of all this chaos, Zara had befriended a girl named Ria.
Ria was friendly and confident, and somehow, she had eased Zara out of her shell. The two had become inseparable, always seen together in the cafeteria or the library.
Phuwin was relieved to see Zara finally trying like she had promised. It made him happy to see her talking more, her nervousness fading little by little.
But not everything was perfect.
For the past few weeks, a boy named Kris from Zara's class had been following her around. No matter how many times she refused his advances, he didn't take no for an answer.
And today... it escalated.
Zara had no class today, so she was walking down the hallway alone when Kris appeared once again.
"Zara, wait!" Kris rushed toward her, blocking her path.
Zara sighed in frustration. "Kris, I've already told you-I don't like you. Why don't you understand?"
But Kris's face twisted in anger. "Don't think too highly of yourself, huh?!" he snapped, grabbing her wrist tightly. "I've been following you around for two months like a dog, and you never even considered me?!"
Zara winced, trying to free herself. "Let go of me, Kris!"
Kris smirked, leaning closer. "If you don't accept me, you'll suffer."
Tears welled up in Zara's eyes as she struggled harder. "Stop it!"
A few students in the hallway watched, but none of them stepped in. Instead, some even took out their phones to record.
Just then, Ria came out of the restroom and froze.
Her eyes widened as she saw Kris gripping Zara aggressively. Without thinking, she rushed forward and swung her bag at him.
"Let her go, asshole!" she yelled.
But before she could do more, Kris's friends pulled her away, holding her back.
Zara was still struggling, her hands pushing against Kris's chest. But then-
Kris's hand slid to her waist.
Her body froze in disgust and fear.
"Huh, no words now?" Kris taunted, smirking. "If you had listened when I was being nice, it wouldn't have come to this. But now..."
His face lowered toward hers, lips inches away-
BAM!
A sharp kick landed on Kris's back, sending him flying to the ground.
Gasps erupted from the students as Kris groaned in pain.
Zara's eyes widened in shock as she saw who had just arrived.
Phuwin.
His face was deadly calm, but his eyes burned with unrestrained fury.
"Motherf*cker," he growled under his breath, stalking toward Kris like a predator.
Kris groaned, trying to get up. "Who the f*ck-"
SMACK!
A fist connected with his face, knocking him back down.
"You dare to touch my sister?" Phuwin hissed, his voice low and venomous.
The students watched, stunned. The ones recording had shaky hands, unable to look away from the pure rage on Phuwin's face.
But Phuwin wasn't done.
He grabbed Kris by the collar, yanking him up before landing another powerful punch to his jaw.
"You think you can force someone to love you? Huh?! You think harassing a girl makes you a man?!"
Another punch.
Kris coughed, blood dripping from his lip. "S-stop-"
Phuwin's grip tightened. "You should be f*cking grateful I don't kill you."
CRACK.
A sickening snap echoed as Phuwin twisted Kris's wrist with brutal force.
"AAAHH!" Kris screamed in agony, writhing on the floor.
Joong, who had been following Phuwin the whole time, finally ran forward and grabbed his arms.
"Phu, STOP!" Joong panted. "You're gonna kill him!"
Phuwin was breathing heavily, his fists still clenched.
"Let me go, Joong," he muttered, still seething.
Joong didn't budge. "Zara needs you more than this bastard does."
That's when Phuwin finally snapped out of his rage. His eyes flickered toward Zara.
She was crying in the corner, her whole body shaking as Ria held her.
Phuwin's heart ached.
Without hesitation, he rushed to her side, kneeling beside her. "Ara..."
Zara immediately threw herself into his arms, sobbing.
Phuwin held her close, gently rubbing her back. "Shhh... it's okay, Ara. I'm here. He won't touch you again, I swear."
Zara gripped his shirt, still hiccupping. "I... I was so scared..."
Phuwin felt a fresh wave of fury, but he pushed it down. Instead, he placed a protective kiss on her forehead.
"No one will ever hurt you again."
The hallway was silent.
But Phuwin wasn't done.
He slowly turned, his gaze cold and piercing, scanning the crowd of students still recording.
His voice was calm, but deadly.
"Are you guys even human?"
The students flinched.
"Instead of helping, you just stood there and filmed it like a f*cking drama?" He scoffed, shaking his head. "Pathetic."
One by one, the students gulped and put their phones down.
Meanwhile, at the entrance of the hallway, Pond and his friends had arrived.
Dunk had first seen the incident on his phone, and the whole group had rushed over.
Now, they stood there, watching Phuwin absolutely wreck Kris.
Jack whistled under his breath. "Damn... remind me never to piss off Phuwin."
Joe nodded. "That guy is a f*cking beast."
But Pond?
Pond was just leaning against the wall, arms crossed, a small smirk playing on his lips.
"Interesting," he muttered, eyes locked onto Phuwin.
