"Correction!" You interrupted, holding up a finger. "Only two of us got wasted! Jimin was slightly responsible—"
Jimin whipped his head toward you, offended. "SLIGHTLY?! I was the one who dragged you both home at 5 AM while Jungkook kept trying to fight a lamp post!"
Jungkook groaned, rubbing his face. "I thought it was mocking me…"
Yoongi snorted, but covered it up with a cough. Taehyung was not even trying to hide his grin.
Jin shot them both a look before turning back to you three. "I don’t care if you were 'slightly' responsible or 'completely' irresponsible—WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!"
"That we should have taken more shots?" Jungkook muttered under his breath.
"WHAT WAS THAT?" Jin's voice went up an octave.
"Nothing, hyung, nothing!" Jungkook immediately sat up straight.
Namjoon massaged his temples. "Do you three have any idea how worried we were?!"
"We left a note—" Jimin tried.
"A NOTE?!" Jin looked personally offended. "‘Gone to party, be back before morning’? WHAT KIND OF NOTE IS THAT?!"
"A very honest one?" you offered weakly.
Jin inhaled sharply like he was about to explode.
Hoseok, who had been silently judging you from the side, finally crossed his arms. "You know, I expected this from Jungkook. Maybe even you," he pointed at Jimin. "But YOU?" He turned to you with a disappointed parent shake of his head. "I thought you were better than this."
You gasped dramatically. "Oh my God, not the disappointed tone—"
"I'm not done." Namjoon cut in, glaring daggers at all of you. "Do you know how dangerous it is to go out that late, drunk, and with no proper plan?! What if something had happened?! What if you lost your phone?! What if—"
"Okay, but hear me out—" Jungkook raised a hand.
"NO, YOU HEAR ME OUT—" Jin was fuming at this point. "Do you know what we found in your pockets when we got your drunk asses home?"
You blinked. "…uh, my phone?"
"A receipt for TWELVE tequila shots and—EXPLAIN THIS—" Jin suddenly pulled something out of his pocket and dramatically unfolded a napkin with a messy, handwritten message:
"Your bartender is cute. Call me. —Jungkook."
Yoongi choked on his coffee. Taehyung straight-up HOWLED in laughter.
Jungkook blinked at the napkin, squinting. "Huh. I don't even remember writing that."
"YOU TRIED TO BARTER YOUR NUMBER FOR A FREE DRINK!" Jin yelled, his face turning red. "AND YOU STILL PAID FOR IT ANYWAY!"
Jungkook groaned, slumping back onto the couch. "Damn, wasted opportunities…"
Hoseok facepalmed.
"You know what?" Namjoon finally threw his hands up. "I give up. I literally give up. If you guys end up on the news for something stupid, I’m just gonna pretend I don’t know you."
"Same," Jin agreed. "You’ll be someone else’s problem."
Yoongi, still wheezing, finally looked up. "I mean… at least they made it home before sunrise."
"THAT’S NOT THE POINT, YOONGI!"
"I'm just saying," Yoongi shrugged, taking another sip of his coffee. "Could’ve been worse."
