You knew from the beginning that no matter how well things were planned, you’d still have to travel to Japan for a short orientation trip—whether for a day or a week. It was inevitable.

But when Namjoon finally said it out loud, it hit differently.

“Your orientation is in exactly a week,” he had stated, scanning through an email on his phone. “We should go over the details and make sure you’re ready.”

You had nodded, trying to be nonchalant about it. “Yeah… it’s just a short trip.”

But inside? You felt something shift. Even if this wasn’t the big move yet, it was the first step toward it. The first real moment of separation.

The moment you and Namjoon informed the others about your trip, everything changed.

It was like pressing a button that activated their clingiest modes.

Jimin wrapped himself around your arm every chance he got, sighing dramatically. “I don’t like this. Not even a little bit.”

Taehyung started side-eyeing your suitcases as if glaring at them hard enough would make them disappear.

Hoseok suddenly became emotionally charged, staring at you like you were leaving forever.

“You’re being ridiculous,” you had teased him when he clung to your waist like a lifeline.

“I just love you,” he sniffled, making you roll your eyes and laugh.

Jungkook kept finding reasons to keep you in the house—“Let’s watch a movie! Let’s play a game! Let’s go out one last time before you leave!”—as if four days apart required a grand farewell tour.

Yoongi? He wasn’t as obvious, but you could tell. He’d been sitting closer, keeping his eyes on you longer, speaking softer.

Jin, despite his usual playfulness, was the one who subtly made sure you were eating well, resting properly, and not stressing. He even packed snacks in your bag, muttering something about “airplane food being garbage.”

Namjoon, ever the rational one, kept things practical. He double-checked your itinerary, your accommodations, even your emergency contacts. But even he wasn’t immune—his hand lingered a little longer on your shoulder when he reassured you that everything would be fine.

And so, for an entire week, they latched onto you like little koalas, making sure you had zero personal space. Not even for a minute.

Not that you were complaining.

If anything, you loved every second of it.

Now, as you sat on the plane to Japan, staring out the window at the clouds below, you felt a pang of nostalgia settle deep in your chest.

It was ridiculous—you hadn’t even left properly, and you were already missing them.

You sighed, leaning back in your seat.

Four days.

Just four days before you’d be back, telling them how everything went.

And yet, even knowing that, it still felt like the first real step toward something bigger.

As soon as you set foot in Japan, you knew this trip was going to be an experience to remember. The excitement bubbling inside you was almost impossible to contain. The city welcomed you with its bustling energy, the hum of conversations, and the scent of something delicious lingering in the air.

Walking out of the airport, you quickly hailed a cab to take you to the hotel arranged by the company. The drive was smooth, the city passing by in a blur of neon lights and towering buildings. When you finally arrived, you thanked the driver with a small bow, watching as he returned the gesture before disappearing into the crowd.
