[SCENE: FRACTURED MEMORIES & FATED LOVE]

[Late Night | Her Apartment | A Storm Rages Outside]

The first time, it was a dull ache.

The second time, it was a sharp sting.

But now?

Now, it felt like her soul was being ripped apart.

🌩️ A violent crash of thunder split the night as she jolted awake, gasping for air.

Her chest burned—not like fire, but like something deeper. Something ancient. The pain twisted inside her, sharp enough to steal her breath, leaving her clutching at her heart like she could physically tear the agony away.

But no matter how hard she pressed her palm against her chest—it didn't stop.

And across the room—watching in silence—was Azrael.

His back was against the wall, arms crossed, dark eyes glowing faintly in the storm-lit room.

🖤 Azrael (low, measured, but laced with frustration):
"It's getting worse."

She didn't answer. She couldn't.

Her body was betraying her. Every time he was near, the pain grew unbearable. Her breaths came in ragged gasps, but she refused to break in front of him.

Then—a new sensation.

It started in the back of her mind—a whisper.

A voice, soft yet urgent. Calling her name.

???: "You have to remember."

Her heart slammed against her ribs. Her body shuddered. What the hell was that?

Her head snapped up, eyes wide, searching—for what, she didn't know.

🖤 Azrael (stepping closer, voice low and intense):
"What did you just hear?"

💔 Her (shaken, voice unsteady):
"...Nothing. It's nothing."

LIE.

She knew it. He knew it.

The pain didn't stop. It worsened.

And this time, she couldn't hide it.

Her knees buckled. The room tilted.

Her vision went black.

[SCENE: FALLING APART]

[Moments Later | Azrael's Arms]

Heat.

The first thing she felt was heat. Strong arms wrapped around her, holding her steady.

She didn't have to open her eyes to know who it was.

His touch was unmistakable—ice and fire at the same time. A contradiction. A sin. A sanctuary.

🖤 Azrael (voice tight, controlled, but barely):
"This isn't just the seal anymore. It's you fighting it."

She forced her eyes open, breath still shaky. Too close. He was too close.

Her pulse was a drum in her ears. Not from fear. From something else.
