The next morning, the villa was a mess of hungover adults and hyperactive kids.Scottie and Hartley were up and running around at full speed while the rest of the group struggled to recover from the night before.
"Why do kids not understand hangovers?" Jason groaned, burying his face in a pillow as Wyatt jumped on his back.
Kylie, completely unfazed, sipped her coffee. "Maybe you shouldn't have taken so many shots."
"I wasn't that drunk," Jason muttered.
Patrick, who was scrolling through his phone, smirked. "Bro, you tried to fight a palm tree because you thought it was looking at you funny."
Jason groaned. "Damn."
Meanwhile, Travis was sprawled out on the couch, sunglasses on, holding Scottie in one arm. She was happily playing with his beard, completely unbothered by his suffering.
"You good over there?" Kayla teased as she walked by.
Travis grunted. "I need greasy food and a nap."
Kayla smirked. "Sounds like a personal problem."
A Little Tension at Breakfast
By the time everyone dragged themselves to the patio for breakfast, the energy was split—some were ready for another day of fun, while others were still struggling.
Brittany was, of course, completely unbothered, dressed and ready to go, sipping a mimosa. "Y'all are weak."
Odell groaned. "You're just built different."
As they ate, Kayla's phone buzzed again, and Travis—who was mid-bite—noticed immediately.
"Damn, your phone been real active lately," he commented.
Kayla didn't even look up. "And?"
Travis shrugged, trying to act casual. "Just saying."
Taylor Swift, sitting beside him, squeezed his leg under the table, clearly trying to keep him from getting worked up.
Jason, never one to miss an opportunity to stir the pot, leaned over. "Oooo, is that your mystery man again?"
Kayla smirked. "Maybe."
Travis scoffed. "Ain't nobody buying that."
Kayla raised an eyebrow. "Are you mad or something?"
"I just think it's funny—"
"Oh, here we go."
"—that you're acting like you got this whole secret love life all of a sudden."
Kayla shook her head. "You're so dramatic."
Jason whispered to Kylie, "This is better than reality TV."
Kylie smirked. "I know."
Pool Day Drama
To shake off the hangovers, the group spent the afternoon by the pool. Drinks were flowing, music was blasting, and the kids were having a blast splashing around.
At one point, Travis was in the pool with Hartley and Scottie, tossing them gently into the air as they giggled. Taylor Swift watched from the lounge chair, smiling, but Kayla couldn't help but notice the way Travis kept looking over at her.
It was subtle, but she knew him too well.
Taylor Rooks, who had been watching the whole morning unfold, finally nudged Kayla. "You know he's jealous, right?"
Kayla sighed. "I know."
"Are you messing with him on purpose?"
Kayla smirked. "Maybe a little."
Taylor laughed. "Petty queen."
Meanwhile, Odell, Patrick, and Jason were having a very serious debate over who was the best at pool basketball.
"I'm literally a professional athlete. I'm winning," Odell said.
Patrick scoffed. "Bro, this is MY sport."
Jason cracked his knuckles. "Y'all about to get dominated."
The game that followed was absolute chaos, with Jason playing like it was Game 7 of the NBA Finals, Odell using his ridiculous agility to dominate, and Patrick being overly competitive.
At one point, Jason dove into the pool for a loose ball and ended up taking Travis down with him.
"JASON, WHAT THE HELL?!" Travis sputtered, coming up for air.
Jason cackled. "Gotta want it more, little bro!"
Taylor Swift, watching from the side, shook her head. "Y'all are ridiculous."
Dinner Plans... and More Tension
That night, the group decided to go out to a fancy beachfront restaurant. Everyone was dressed up, looking good, and ready for a night out.
As they waited for their food, Kayla got another text. Travis, who had been keeping an eye on her all day, finally cracked.
"So, we ever gonna talk about this 'date' of yours?"
Kayla glanced at him. "Why do you care?"
Travis crossed his arms. "I don't care. Just think it's funny you're being all secretive."
Kayla smirked. "Sounds like you care."
"I don't."
Taylor Swift, sipping her wine, whispered to Kylie, "He absolutely cares."
Kylie nodded. "It's hilarious."
At that moment, the waiter arrived with their food, saving Travis from digging himself into a deeper hole.
The Late-Night Walk
After dinner, most of the group headed back, but Travis found himself walking along the beach with Taylor Swift. The waves crashed gently, the moonlight reflecting off the water.
"You good?" Taylor asked, lacing her fingers through his.
Travis sighed. "Yeah, just... I don't know."
Taylor smiled softly. "You're so bad at hiding your feelings."
Travis groaned. "It's just weird seeing Kayla talk to someone."
Taylor raised an eyebrow. "You do realize you're dating me, right?"
Travis chuckled. "I know that."
Taylor shook her head. "Then why are you acting jealous?"
Travis exhaled. "It's not jealousy. It's... I don't know. It's just different. I'm used to it being me and her co-parenting, but now there's someone else in the mix."
Taylor studied him. "You know you can talk to me about this, right?"
Travis wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close. "I know."
Taylor smirked. "Just don't get too jealous. It's not a good look on you."
Travis laughed. "Noted."
Back at the Villa
When they got back, Kayla was sitting outside with Taylor Rooks, drinking wine and talking quietly.
Travis didn't say anything, but as he passed by, Kayla caught his glance and smirked.
Yeah. He was definitely jealous.
And she was definitely enjoying it.
