After hearing Vijay's words, Kaveri felt an overwhelming rush of emotions take over her. Her heart pounded in her chest, and for a moment, she couldn't find her voice. The reality of his words sank in—he was leaving. Her throat tightened, and an unfamiliar fear gripped her, a fear she hadn't acknowledged until now.

Without thinking, without a second of hesitation, she ran towards him. Her steps were quick, almost frantic, her eyes clouded with unshed tears. She didn't care about anything else at that moment. She just knew she needed to be near him, to hold onto him, to stop him from leaving—or at least to savour the warmth of his presence before he went.

Vijay barely had time to react when she crashed into him, wrapping her arms tightly around his waist. His body stiffened in shock, his arms frozen in midair, unsure of what had just happened. But the moment he felt her trembling against him, something inside him softened. Slowly, hesitantly, he brought his arms around her, his grip tightening as if instinctively trying to reassure her that he was there.

Kaveri didn't say a word. She simply buried her face into his chest, her fingers clutching onto his shirt as if letting go would mean losing him forever. Silent sobs wracked her body, and soon, her tears flowed freely, soaking into his t-shirt. She had no control over them; they carried all the emotions she had held back for so long—fear, sadness, longing, and something else she wasn't ready to name.

Vijay felt the dampness spread against his chest, and a wave of concern washed over him. He gently pulled back, his hands resting on her shoulders as he lowered his head to look at her tear-streaked face. His brows furrowed as he cupped her cheeks, his thumbs brushing away the stray tears.

V- Hey.... Ennachu Kaveri, Nee ippo yen azhara?

he asked softly, his voice laced with confusion and concern.

Kaveri blinked up at him, her lips quivering, but no words came out. Her emotions were too tangled, too overwhelming to express. She simply stared at him, her teary eyes reflecting a mix of pain and something deeper—something she herself was just beginning to realise.
