Song: Pink Pony Club- Chappell Roan
Later that evening, I sat at the grand Slytherin table, surrounded by my friends as the Great Hall buzzed with chatter and the clinking of silverware. The boys were deep in conversation about Quidditch—arguing over who would be the next team captain—while Jane, Khai, and Pansy were gossiping about some Ravenclaw girl who had apparently gotten caught sneaking into the boys' dormitories.
But me? I was lost in my own thoughts.
Today had been pure chaos. And it was only the first day of classes.
I had been in my desired reality for four days now, and even though it was a whirlwind of drama, tension, and ridiculous bets being placed on my love life—it was everything I had ever wanted.
A sharp nudge to my side pulled me out of my trance.
"What's going on in that pretty little head of yours, V?" Pansy asked, raising an eyebrow at me as she smirked.
Before I could respond, Sebastian—never one to miss an opportunity—grinned and leaned in.
"Oh, that's easy," he said smoothly. "She's picturing Riddle naked."
I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose as the table erupted in laughter.
"Yes, exactly. Thanks, Sallow, for clearing that up," I said dryly, rolling my eyes.
"Woah, no need for the sarcasm, Moonvale," Mattheo cut in, crossing his arms over his chest, a cocky smirk tugging at his lips. He tilted his head slightly, his gaze locked onto mine with that same infuriating confidence. "You won't need to picture it in your head. You could see it with your own eyes, if you'd just cave in first, wouldn't you?"
I held his stare, refusing to let him see the way my heart suddenly pounded.
"Ah, tempting offer, Riddle." I shot him a saccharine smile, tilting my head mockingly. "But you know I won't do that."
Mattheo's smirk didn't waver. In fact, it only deepened.
"Yet," he murmured, just loud enough for me to hear.
"Alright, can we all stop flirting with each other for two minutes?" Theo groaned, stabbing his fork into his food. "I'd like to finish my dinner without having to witness Mattheo attempting to undress someone with his eyes."
I scoffed. "Please, he doesn't have that kind of power over me."
Mattheo leaned in slightly, his breath ghosting near my ear as he whispered, "Keep telling yourself that, Moonvale."
Bastard.
Pansy, who had been watching with amusement, suddenly grinned. "You two are ridiculous," she muttered.
I rolled my eyes, deciding it was pointless to continue this conversation with Mattheo. Just then, my phone screen lit up, and my heart skipped a beat when I saw the name flashing across it.
Fred Weasley.
A smirk tugged at my lips as I opened the message.
Fred: Oi! Magic hide and seek tonight, 11 PM! Bring all of your asshole friends 😉
I immediately looked up at my group, excitement bubbling in my chest.
"Guys! Fred just texted me—they're hosting a game of magic hide-and-seek tonight at 11, and we're all invited."
Jane and Pansy perked up instantly, exchanging eager looks.
"Oh, hell yes," Jane grinned.
But, of course, Draco scoffed, crossing his arms. "Hide and seek? Seriously? What are we, fucking children?"
