Dyne had finished picking the lock on the front door of the house, the lockpick retracting back into the tip of his claw. He cautiously opened it; making a low creaking sound as it swung open. It revealed a short hall with a standard living room at the end of it; a couch, ceiling fan, medium-sized television, all padded with low quality brown carpet. There was a door on the other side of the living room, presumably leading to the rest of the house. Dyne spoke to his teammates, "Ok, its reasonable to believe that this energon is stored in a secure place, so I don't think it's in this room. Pyroat, go across the hall and check out what's behind that door." As she sauntered over to the door, she turned and asked Dyne a question, "If you're so smart, tell us where you think it is!" Dyne shushed her, then spoke back, "humans often put valuables in these locked contraptions they call a "safe", its a big metal box, try looking for one. And call us over when you find it." Aerocip perked up behind Dyne, "and what about me? What should I do?" Dyne scanned the room with his optics, "I detect another door to our right, it would be preferable if you were to go that way to cover more ground. I'll go with Pyroat to make sure she doesn't get into trouble." Aerocip nodded, "got it! Oops! I mean, got it..." she scurried off and walked through the door. Dyne turned his attention back to Pyroat, "wait up!" Dyne whisper-shouted as he ran over to her, she turned back and tapped her lower paw against the carpet impatiently, then they walked through the door together. The door opened to a room with a large bed in the middle, and a closet to the side. Perfect, this is the sort of place humans store valuables! Pyroat looked around, "whats the deal with this room? And whats that big cushy thing in the middle?" Dyne began to explain as he opened up the closet, "That thing is called a bed, its like a recharging pod for humans." Pyroat took a few steps closer to it, "I didn't know humans needed to recharge!" she marveled, pressing her paw against it, "ooh! And its soft too!" Dyne continued to rummage through the closet, it was shockingly deep in here. Finally, his paw felt something hard and metal. "Pyroat! I need your help to open the safe," he turned back to the bed, Pyroat was lying on top of it with her optics closed, humming softly. "This sure feels better than that uncomfortable steel we lie against in the recharge pods!" Dyne tore the blankets off of her, "Get up, this is no time for that!" She begrudgingly jumped out of the bed, Dyne set the safe in front of her on the floor, "Thanks, now I need your help with figuring out the code to ope-" Pyroat scoffed and held up her paw; focusing on it as it began to glow red-hot. She gripped the top of the safe and tore it open once the metal became soft. A faint purple glow shone on her face as she peered into the safe, "That work for you?" She smirked back at him. Dyne was irritated, yet impressed, "I don't think that's how we were supposed to get that open, but if it works..." he shrugged it off, "We better tell 'Cip so we can regroup with her" Dyne and Pyroat started to raise their paws to the com units built into their ears, when they heard Aerocip talking to them before they could touch it; "Hey! Good news guys; I found the safe!"Aerocip stood in front of the safe; rectangular and colorful, with a soft tune emanating from it. She took her paw down from her ear, "Now I just need to figure out how to open it..." she began turning the knobs on it, which adjusted the volume of the music for some reason. Maybe she had to make it the right frequency to open it? Such a strange way to secure valuables... She picked it up and looked all around it, maybe it had a hidden switch on it that would open it right up! She turned it over and her faceplate went pale, it made sense now; this wasn't a safe, it wasn't even a prop, because what looked back at her was the Autobot Insignia.
