The In-Between

Owen appears in the In-Between with everyone else, and he sees Tails already talking to Sarin. Owen walks over and asks, “So, are we ready?” Tails says, “I’ve told everyone I know about this, and now Sarin can open the rifts.” Sarin opens three rifts. Knuckles falls out of one, Silver floats out of another, and Tangle and Whisper exit the third. Sarin says, “I believe Tails has informed you all of the present danger we are facing.” Sarin opens a rift under an arch, the arch turning into an abandoned door frame covered in sand with a strange-looking pistol resting on it. Sarin says, “I must warn you, friends, this dimension is radioactive. Find the woman in the blue jumpsuit, the man in the metal armor, and the man with bumpy skin and a fedora.” Owen rallies up Silver, Teddy, and Shaun, and the four walk into the rift

Fallout

They appear in a desert, with abandoned buildings visible in the distance. Owen says, “This place is huge, what the hell?” Teddy gets on his horse, and Shaun says, “Hey, there’s a person outside that house there.” They walk over to him. He’s some caucasian guy with a double-barrel shotgun, a stained wifebeater, and wearing underpants. The strange man says, “Who are yeu guys?” Teddy says, “We’re looking for a woman in a blue jumpsuit, a man in metal armor, and a man with bumpy skin and a fedora. Do you know where they are?” The man says, “Oh, you’re gonna needta head over t’ Filly for ‘em. It’s in dat forest over dere, big-ass metal scrap walls. Never been dere myself, but seems like a nice city.” Teddy says, “Thank you, kind stranger.” Teddy rides away, and Silver runs after him. Shaun laughs, and Owen says to the man, “Don’t ask any questions.” As Owen walks away, the man says, “I’ve seen som’ weird stuff, mister. I ain’t questionin’ it one bit.” Owen, Shaun, Silver, and Teddy are heading to the forest. Owen has his gun out, Shaun is on his phone texting Ed, Silver is looking at Owen, and Teddy is riding his horse with his sword drawn. Shaun puts his phone in his pocket and says, “Jesus, it’s a long walk to Filly.” Teddy says, “If you’re tired, you can ride on Little Texas with me.” Shaun says, “It’s fine.” Silver looks around and says while stumbling on his words, “So, uh, ab- about that uh, the- the w- weather, huh?” Owen asks, “You good?” Silver gives a thumbs up, and Teddy says, “We’re heeere!” Teddy points his sword at the door, a scrap metal hole with a wooden sign that says “Filly” with two arrows pointing at the hole. Teddy rides into town on his horse, and Owen walks next to him. Shaun puts his hands in his pockets and walks into the town, with Silver soon sprinting after him. As Silver is following Shaun, Silver blushes from embarrassment, and Shaun says, “You’ve got red on you.” Silver looks up at Shaun and says, “Y- oh, y- yeah.” Shaun says, “If we get into a fight, just stay in the corner.” Silver nods. A man stops Shaun and asks, “How many caps are you selling that white one for?” Shaun looks at the guy and says, “He’s not for sale.” The man takes out a knife and says, “I’m getting that animal one way or another.” Shaun takes out his Winchester rifle and says, “He’s not. For sale.” Owen Grady walks over and says, “Break it up.” Owen looks at the man and says, “If you don’t get outta here in five seconds I’m gonna beat you up and dump your ass in a pool of radioactive waste.” The man runs away after that threat. Owen walks into the main square while smiling. Silver says, “Get 'em, Owen!” Shaun looks at Silver and then follows Owen. In the main square, Teddy is talking to a ghoul in a fedora, and Owen approaches. Owen asks, “Teddy, what’s the status?” Teddy says, “I feel I am close to recruiting this rather ghoulish fellow for our forces. His name is Cooper Howard, and he is a master at killing his opponents. Along with that, it seems as if he also has the other two we are looking for as compatriots. Their names are Lucy and Maximus.” Cooper Howard looks up and says, “Yep. Lucy’s over there tryna buy some ammo, and Max is eatin’ Cram.” Owen says, “Round them up; we’ll have to leave soon, probably.” Cooper stands up and walks over to Lucy. A rift cracks open above them, and Maximillian flies out, piloting a robot dragon. Maximilian evily laughs evilly, and Owen says, “That’s overkill.” Another rift opens where Owen and the others came from, and Corporal Upham walks out with Captain Miller, Captain Hamill, Lieutenant DeWindt, Medic Wade, Private Mellish, Private Reiben, Private Caparzo, Private Jackson, and Private Ryan. Upham asks, “Where are we?” Jackson looks up, at Upham, back up, back at Upham, and says, “We have a situation, sir.” People start running out of the city as Cooper takes out his revolver and unloads on the robot. Upham yells, “Take cover!” Upham and the other soldiers take cover behind various things and start shooting at the robots with M1 Garands, revolvers, drum guns, and Caparzo even has a Springfield. Cooper takes out a repeater similar to Shaun’s rifle but with different colors and opens fire on the dragon. Maximus puts on the helmet to his power armor and charges in while yelling, “AD VICTORIAM!” Lucy grabs the 10mm pistol from her holster and shoots at the robot. Shaun hides behind a burning barrel and unloads while Teddy stands up on his horse and lays down fire. Owen Grady hides next to Miller while shooting at the robot, and Owen asks, “Where did you come from?” Miller says, “We were just about to get on landing crafts to storm Normandy when we were sucked into the rift. I crossed with some of the paratroopers who were about to jump into the fight, and then we… ended up here.” Owen says, “Ah, yep. D-Day. You’re lucky, you know?” Miller says, “I guess I am. But a robot dragon is a lot harder to fight than some Nazi morons in glorified concrete sheds.” Owen says, “You’re right.” Upham yells, “Ryan! Miller! Grenades!” Ryan and Miller unpin grenades, and Miller asks, “Where is this guy from?” Owen says, “Austria, I think.” Ryan and Miller throw grenades at the dragon, and it blows up parts of it. Miller says, “Great, just like Hitler.” Owen says, “Don’t worry, he wasn’t rejected from art school. He’s just spoiled. And an evil genius. I think that’s actually similar.” Miller says, “Oh god, no.” The dragon drops badniks onto the field, and Upham yells, “Badniks!” DeWindt shoots at a badnik, and it explodes, with a small bird escaping it. Silver says, “Oh, th- those are Flickies. We s- we should bring them bac- back to base.” Hamill rolls over to the corner where SIlver is hiding, takes cover behind a broken wall, and says, “Stay there.” Lucy runs to the ruins near Hamill and says, “I think the tail is the weak spot. Tell your corporal guy we should focus fire on it.” Hamill yells at Upham, “THE TAIL!” Upham nods and yells, “SHOOT THE TAIL!” All the soldiers open fire on the tail, and even Cooper unloads on it. Maximus is on the ground, destroying badniks, when Silver uses psychic powers to flick a barrel at a single badnik. Teddy is shooting badniks, and he stabs one right in the head with his sword. Ryan says to Teddy, “I recommend getting behind cover.” Reiben smacks Ryan on the hand and says, “Shut up, that is the Theodore Roosevelt. He’s too awesome to use cover, bullets just miss him automatically.” Ryan groans and opens fire on the tail. Maximus grabs a badnik and chucks it at the tail, and Maximillian yells, “YOU’RE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THAT!” Silver uses his psychic powers and starts splitting the dragon bot down the middle, and Maximillian panics. He runs into an escape pod, turns it on, and launches himself through the rift in the sky. The robot’s remains fall into the nearby forest and explode, as Cooper says, “Well, shit. What now?” A rift opens in the middle of the city, and Owen runs in. Lucy asks, “What now?” Teddy says, “We go into the rift.” Teddy rides into the rift on his horse.
