My Little Pony - The Elements of Unity

Sunset strolled across Ponyville, Gabby flying around her. The griffon dashed around, chatting with the townsfolk, as the golden mare entered the town market. It was a lively area, lots of shops and ponies selling different products and trinkets.

"Oh! Oh! What is this?" Gabby dashed to a stall, looking at a decorated, black and gold mask.

"Oh, this little thing?" The vendor chuckled. "It's an old Wonderbolts goggle, often used when flying at high speeds.

"Sunny, you think—"

"No." Sunset shook her head. "Soarin could probably get us one, plus, I don't think it even fits you. It was made for a muzzle, not a beak."

"The young lady has a point there." The vendor solemly nodded. "However, I have an assortment of other masks. How about this one?" He continued, pulling up a leather helmet, with crystaline goggles covering the eyes. "This was made directly in the Griffish Isles. I assume you're familiar with the function."

"No, but it's gotta do with flying, right?" Gabby jumped up, catching herself in the air and flipping around in excitement.

"You really want this one?" Sunset looked up.

"Oh, Sunny, I would love it! Please, please, please!" The griffon landed, looking into Sunset's eyes with the puppidoggest look she could show.

"Alright alright, we'll get it." Sunset smiled.

"15 bits." The vendor nodded. Sunset levitated a handful of gold coins. Gabby excitedly grabbed the helmet, and immedeatly strapped it on, putting on the goggles.

"This. Is. So. COOOOOLLL!!!" The griffon laughed, flying at full speed into the sky. But not a moment later, she and another gray object dropped out of the air.

"Gabby." Sunset sighed, looking over the griffon.

"Ehehe... Sorry, Sunny... I just got excited."

"Yeah yeah, just don't crash into anypony." Sunset nodded, walking up to the poor mailmare they knocked out of the air. "Hey, you okay?" She asked, nudging the pegasus.

"Hehe... I see muffins..." the pony chuckled.

"Wait... Derpy? You're a mailpony?" The unicorn questioned.

"Oh... yeah." The pegasus nodded. "Oh, speaking of!" Derpy got back on her hooves, and took out a letter from Canterlot. "This is for you." She added, giving the message to Sunset.

"Okay then." The golden mare nodded, ripping the envelope open and reading the letter.

"What is it?" Gabby asked.

"Oh, it's an invitation to the Grand Galloping Gala." Sunset shrugged, putting the tickets in her saddlebag.

"Oh, the gala!" Derpy perked up. "I heard about it. Oh, I wish I could go there. Just imagine, the Castle, the cooking, the muffins!" The mare drooled. "Sunset, is there a way to get invited to the gala?"

"Well... I suppose I don't really need to go there." Sunset said, slightly looking away from her friend.

"Hold on, what about the others?" Gabby spoke up.
