"What about them?" Sunset asked.

"Well, it's the Great Galloping Gala. They'll want to go too, and we don't have any more tickets!"

"That... is true..." Sunset sighed, stomping in frustration. She wanted to go, but so did Derpy and Gabby, and probably her other friends. She needed to figure out something.

"So, any ideas?" Gabby asked, the two girls walking across town.

"No... I've got nothing." Sunset stomped. "Maybe Doc has an idea?"

"Or a cloning machine!" The griffon laughed. Sunset rolled her eyes, but couldn't help but crack a smile. As the two arrived at the Doctor's home, they heard a loud crash and the worried yelling of the earth pony colt.

"Well, let's get this over with." Sunset sighed, and finally knocked. The Doctor soon opened up - his mane was messy, his labcoat was burned, and his goggles were broken.

"Oh! You have goggles too!" Gabby gleames, looking over the confused scientist.

"Uhm... yeah. Look I'm heading out to get lunch, so do tell me: what can I help you with?"

"We... have a problem. I have two tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala, and I—"

"Oh, the Gala!" The Doctor jumped. "Oh, I have heard so much about that one. The highest ranking of Equestria travel there every year! Oh, just imagine, the greatest minds across the land, all in one party! It would be fantastic to meet them one day..." The Doctor trailed off, leaving Sunset to unconfortably nod along.

"Well, you might be in luck!" Gabby cut in. "You see, we have an extra ticket to the Gala, and we wanted your help in dividing it!"

"My... help? You want my help? But... what do you mean by 'dividing' it?"

"Well, I want all of us to go to this Gala." Sunset finally started. "But, Princess Luna only sent two, so that's all we have to work with. Any ideas?"

"I'm... I sincerely apologise, dear, but I simply lack the ability to perform such an act." The Doctor solemly sighed. "Maybe... ask Trixxie, or... or maybe Soarin? He has connections, he might have an idea."

"I suppose... thanks Doc." Sunset sighed. The mare looked up, seeing Gabby already look for the pale blue pegasus. "You look for the Bolt, I get the magician. Got it?" She yelled up. The griffon saluted, and as she dashed away, Sunset teleported to Trixie's little shack.

Gabby flew around Ponyville. The griffon ascended higher and higher, looking for any stray clouds where a pegasus could take a nap or turn into a trick. But no matter where she looked, she found nothing.

"You need help?" A familiar voice called. Gabby looked down, noticing Derpy, relaxing on a soft, fluffy cloud.

"Oh, yes, Derpy!" Gabby said, effortlessly landing on the cloud. "Do you know where Soarin is?"

"Soarin, Soarin..." the ditzy mare mumbled, one eye scanning the ground for the pale pegasus, while the other was searching the sky. "Perhaps he is at the Sweet Cottage? It's a popular local bakery in the middle of town, if I can't miss it, nopony can."
