Nothing. Nothing happened on my walk. Nothing interesting. Nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing. I came up with nothing. Left with nothing. Came back with nothing and now I am just a pile of rotting nothing thoughts.

There is nothing left to tell.

So let's jump to the last first day of highschool for me. Why? Because in the week up to it nothing happend. Okay, yes maybe during that day nothing happened either but I am not talking about the day, I am talking about the night. After school I was not in the mood to go home. So where did I go, you might ask? Well, I was just about to tell you. I went to the park. Sat on the same bench as before. It was the first time I was there since the night that I met mister "I-don't-like-donuts". (I still don't know his name but even if I did, I would prefer this nickname.)

Now you are probably thinking: 'O, so you're at the same place at the same time but on a different day and you're telling this story skipping over the non interesting parts, I wonder who would sit next to you on the same bench as last time! The fucking boy obviously.' But no. Ha, you're wrong. He did not show up that night. The reason I am telling you all of this is because someone else showed up.

"Hi" I said.

"O, you. Here again I see. What is it this time?"

"Long day at school." I answered.

"First day back?"

"Yeah." I heaved.

He sat down next to me and we stayed silent, up until the moment that he opened the bag that I now realized he was crying and he took some donuts out. "Take one."

Okay so maybe I lied a little when I said he wouldn't show up now, but I had to keep it interesting in some way. If you're going to try and guess what's going to happen before I can tell my story, then why read this in the first place, am I right?!

Back to the story.

"I knew you lied." Yes, I see the irony, I did not mean for this to happen!

Silence was back claiming the moment.

"Mia Jo."

His head turned. "What?"

"My name. It's Mia Jo." I stretched a hand out to him.

"Nice to meet you Mia Jo. I'm Oliver."

Silence.

"Thanks for the donuts." I said to keep the conversation from dying. But he blocked that immediately.

"I don't want to talk if that's okay." he said. He sounded frustrated. And I think he was a little sad too but I couldn't really tell because of how dark it was.

"Nope. That's fine."

Silence

Silence

Silence

I took a donut.

Silence

Silence

Silence

I took a bite.

Silence

Silence

Silence

I chew.

And that's what broke the silence. I don't know how but this donut was crunchy. And very loud to chew on.

He doesn't hear it. Good.

What if he doesn't acknowledge the sound and does hear it.

I stopped chewing.

Silence

"You can chew, you know. That's fine." he said.

Fuck. Me.

I put the donut down and we keep on sitting like that in silence.
