He didn't show up today.

I waited for 5 hours and he didn't show up.When I get to his place there is no one. No lights, no noise.

So again, I wait.

I sit on the other side of the street. He's cycling from my left to the house. He gets off the bike and then walks around the house. I follow him carefully and see him opening the back door. The lights jump on. There is some silent noise between him and a woman. Then I hear footsteps on the stairs and I go to the front again. I see the light of his room turn on. He is putting on his music again. Very loud this time. The female voice tries to yell out above it but it's barely audible. He takes off his shirt.I noticed the tree again. I think I might be able to climb it. He gets ready for bed, or so I think. But then he suddenly sits at his desk and starts writing something. I see a branch that might help me get into the tree. He changes the music to something softer, but keeps the volume. I grab the branch and try pulling myself up. He starts writing again. I fell.He stops writing. I stay quiet. He starts again. I grab and jump and sit on the branch. He stops writing walks across his room and back in frustration. I see the next branch. He sits back and writes again. I grab and jump. And he screams. I almost fall but get onto the branch. He hasn't seen me. I take a look at my next step. He slams the door shut. I grab and pull and sit. He's out of sight now. I need to get closer. I need to see him! What is he doing? Why didn't he show up? I need to see him!He continues writing. And I search for the branch that would keep me in the dark but would give the perfect view on my man.He puts everything away and gets into bed. I just sit there on the branch next to his window in the dark. He doesn't need to know that I'm there. I'll protect him tonight from whatever is making him scream and slam doors. You don't have to worry Oliver my dear. Go to bed, get some sleep and I'll see you tomorrow. I sent him a text saying goodnight. When he answers the light is already out in his bedroom but I can see him sleep. So that's what I did for the rest of that night. I watched my man sleep. I protected him from harm. In the morning I left as early as the sun came up to still be on time at school.
