Madelaine Petsch is an American and South African actress best known for her role as Cheryl Blossom in the Riverdale series. And, just like the mid show she starred in (no offense to anyone who likes Riverdale, I just really don't like its writing 😭), Madelaine is an icky person herself, having expressed a both-sided Zionist view on the Palestinian genocide.

Madelaine first showed her support for Israel on her Instagram story by posting a blue screen with a caption that said, I shit you not, "If you put up a black screen a year ago, your screen should be blue today." She compared showing support for Israel, a genocidal colonial entity, to showing solidarity with black people against systemic racism and police brutality. After receiving some much-needed criticism for that disrespectful post, she then clarified her viewpoint by stating that she stands with BOTH Israel and Palestine while simultaneously calling Palestinian resistance "terrorism" and "hatred" against Jewish people. Though, let's be honest: if she wanted to stop antisemitism, she wouldn't have taken Israel's side. Also, she's peddled this "both sides can co-exist" view by posting about a human chain created by Jewish and Arab Israelis in protest of the violence, along with a caption that referred to being pro-Israel or pro-Palestine as "differences in opinions."

So yeah, don't use her as a faceclaim for your oc. I don't even know if she's considered relevant anymore, but it absolutely wouldn't hurt to let people know that she's a Zionist.
