That same night

Yue can't sleep. Like a broken record, her mind is playing over and over the moment when Dylan pulled back from the kiss.

She has been trying to hush her negative thoughts, but eventually they take over.

He doesn't like me that way. That's it. If he did, he would have taken the chance.

Y: He doesn't like me!

F: When you're upset about Dylan, you forget to say hi. 🙃

Y: Sorry. Hi. He still doesn't like me.

F: Sweetie, what happened? Why are you saying that?

Yue sends Fran a voice note, explaining with details the conversation she had with Dylan a while ago, including the kiss and the phone he gave her.

F: I don't understand why you say he doesn't like you. 🤔 He was so nice about the pregnancy. He says you're his family. That's sweet. 🥰

Y: He could have kissed me, sis.

F: He did.

Y: That was a peck not a real kiss. 😑

F: He is one of those guys who needs to do the right thing all the time. That's it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Y: And being with me is wrong?! Great. 😞

F: That's not what I meant. I mean he needs to think things though before he acts.

Y: Have you ever known a guy who rejected the woman he likes?

F: Hmm.

Y: See? He doesn't like me, not in a romantic and passionate way. He sees me as a sister or a cousin or something.

F: Who he impregnated! 😂 That's funny!

Y: Oh come on. I got him drunk and initiated the whole thing.

F: But he cares so much about you.

Y: He does. I know. But he doesn't want me as a woman. I'm convinced now. 😭 I have to forget him and move on.

F: Sis, tell him how you feel.

Y: And hear him say I'm just a friend or a sister to him?! No way Jose. I'm not humiliating myself like that.

F: And what will you do now?

Y: Nothing. I'll do my job as a nanny, be his friend, live my life and work hard to forget him.

F: But you're in love with him! 🥺

Y: 😓 I'll get over it.

Will she be able to do it? For years, she tried to forget Dylan unsuccessfully. How can she move on while living under the same roof with him? She knows she is fooling herself.
