" All the guests have arrived. " Mumma says, looking at the list of preparations.
" And," I ask. I am tired. I wanna sleep. See her. Obviously.
" Madhav stop being so lazy. Today is your Sangeet." She scolds.
" The only thing I am excited for," I say earning a death glare from her.
" And what about the work. You still haven't tried your clothes. Tomorrow is your wedding, for God's sake, Madhav. " She says hyperventilating.
" Calm down," Papa says to her with a smile.
" Everything is gonna be alright. There are workers and an entire team of wedding planners." I say.
" But." She lets out a sigh. The only reason she is stressing out is because there is mehandi on her hand and she can't work.
" Ek hi to beta hai Mera. Shadi ek hi baar hoti hai." She says. ( I only have one son. Who will get married once.)
" Just let me ask Meera if she agrees I don't have a problem in getting Married to her every year." I say shrugging my shoulders like it's no big deal.
" Good one," Papa says, tapping my shoulder, indicating me to leave.
" You can't meet her tomorrow I am telling you beforehand," she says to me as I leave the room.
" Where are you ?" I call Veer. That asshol hasn't arrived yet.
" On my way with Maya." He says and I hear the honking of horns.
" You better be quick," I say. Meera is at her dad's place. Her parents wanted at least one function there. So I'll have to wait till tonight.
I call her closing my room door. So that no one disturbs me.
" Hmm." She hums.
" That smell must be getting in your head," I say. I can practically Imagine her scrunching her nose every time.
" Exactly. I can't even breathe. " She complains like a child. A cute one.
" You can put some perfume or something to block that smell," I say.
" By the way. How does your mehendi look." I ask, wanting to see my name on her plate.
