“He was her safe place. Until he became the reason she could never feel safe again.”
Bravo!Kalix, that motivational speech was moving and framing me the bad guy?
The audacity!-Kalix's dad "Vance kingston said to kalix in a rude loud voice''Vance chuckled!
Your girlfriend,i know she's related to the girl you hit and run
Do you want me to reveal that her precious sister was killed by her very own boyfriend?Kalix replied-The fuck? How did you know?
His father’s replied in a haunting melody."You will take your rightful place as my heir, or I will reveal the truth to Rose."
The truth. The one thing that could destroy everything.
His fists clenched as frustration and guilt suffocated him. He wanted to scream, to punch something, to make this torment stop. But there was no escape. No way out.
The weight of his father’s threat hung over him like a noose. He couldn't let Rose find out—not like this.

The next day, Rose noticed something was off.
Kalix was quieter than usual, his smile forced, his eyes heavy. But he never said a word. He didn’t need to—she could see it in him.
Still, neither of them spoke about it. Instead, they simply parted ways, heading to their respective homes, drowning in their own thoughts.

Saturday Morning
Rose tapped her fingers on her phone before calling Kalix.
"Let's go on a date," she said the moment he picked up.
Kalix hesitated. "A date?"
She sighed. "Yeah. We never really had a moment just for us. Let’s go somewhere, have fun, forget about everything."
Kalix forced a smile through the phone. "Alright, sounds like a plan."
But inside, his stomach churned. Could he really act normal around her while carrying this secret?
Kalix played his role well—laughing, teasing, making sarcastic remarks just like he always did. But Rose could see the cracks.
His hands fidgeted. His laughs felt hollow. His eyes… they were far away, lost in a storm she couldn’t reach.
They drove around the city, stopping at random places—grabbing ice cream, walking by the river, playfully arguing over stupid things.
But even through the fun, Kalix’s mind screamed at him.
"You’re lying to her. She trusts you, and you’re lying."
Rose finally had enough of pretending. "Kalix," she said softly, watching him as he drove. "Something is wrong. Tell me."
Kalix’s grip on the steering wheel tightened. "It’s nothing," he lied.
Rose frowned but didn’t push further. Instead, she looked out the window, her expression distant.
"Stop the car," she whispered.
Kalix glanced at her, confused. "What?"
"Stop the car," she repeated, her voice firmer this time.
He pulled over, and only then did he realize where they were.
The road. That road.
His breath caught in his throat.
Rose slowly stepped out of the car, staring at the spot as if ghosts from her past were standing right there.
Her fingers unconsciously reached for her necklace, gripping it tightly.
Kalix noticed it then—the necklace. It wasn’t just any necklace. It was Ella’s necklace.
His heart stopped.
Rose took a shaky breath, holding back her tears. "This is where she—" Her voice broke.
Kalix felt like his soul was being ripped apart.
He couldn’t run from it anymore.
His entire body screamed at him to shut up, to lie, to say nothing.
But he couldn’t.
"Rose…" his voice came out hoarse.
She turned to him, her eyes glossy, filled with emotions she didn’t know how to express.
Kalix swallowed hard. His mouth felt dry. His hands trembled.
"I… I have to tell you something."
Rose looked at him, confused at first. But as she saw the sheer terror in his eyes, the way his body stiffened, something in her heart clenched.
"What is it?" she whispered.
Kalix exhaled shakily, staring at the ground. His entire body felt like it was shutting down, but he forced himself to say it.
"It was me," he choked out. "That night… the car that hit Ella…"
Silence.
Rose blinked, her body going still.
Kalix forced himself to look at her, to see the moment her heart shattered.
Her lips parted, but no words came out. Her eyes filled with tears, her breathing ragged.
"You're lying," she finally said, but her voice wasn’t strong. It was fragile, desperate.
Kalix shook his head, guilt consuming him. "I was drunk. I didn’t know—I swear to God, I didn’t know it was her. I—I didn’t mean—"
Rose stepped back.
The world around her blurred.
The weight of his words crashed down on her, suffocating her.
She felt sick. She felt cold.
She felt betrayed.
"You…" she whispered, her voice trembling. "You killed my sister."
Kalix’s heart dropped. "Rose, please—"
But she was already backing away, shaking her head violently, tears running down her cheeks.
"Stay away from me," she choked out before turning and running.
Kalix stood there, frozen, watching the love of his life disappear into the darkness.
And for the first time in his life…
He truly felt like a monster.
What would happen next with Kalix and Rose?
