On the way back home,Kalix explains to Jessie what he did to ella last year.

Jessie replied nothing and went straight home.
But her eyes said it all.
Jessie deserved to be angry but was at no place to say anything to him.

Kalix couldn't sleep.

He lies in bed, staring at the ceiling, thoughts of Rose consuming him.

How Rose still didn't forgive him about ella.
Kalix knew that,he could never be forgiven until he did something.

The guilt has always been there, buried beneath arrogance and recklessness, but now? Now, it’s unbearable.

He can’t keep running.

He won’t.

For once in his life, Kalix makes a decision—not because of his father’s expectations, not because of public image, not because of anything except the truth.

By morning, he knows what he has to do.

Kalix walks into the police station, hands shoved in his pockets, heart pounding but face unreadable.

The officer at the desk looks up.

Officer: "Can I help you?"

Kalix swallows hard, gripping the edge of the counter.

Kalix: "Yeah... I need to confess to a crime."

The room stills.

The officer leans forward, skeptical.

Officer: "And what crime would that be?"

Kalix exhales slowly, his voice steady but filled with something broken.

Kalix: "A year ago, I was drunk. I got behind the wheel. I hit someone… and I left. The girl’s name was Elle Vaz. And she—she didn’t make it."

A heavy silence follows.

The officer’s face darkens.

Officer: "Are you saying you committed a hit-and-run?"

Kalix nods, fingers curling into fists.

Kalix: "Yes. And I’m here to take responsibility."

The officer doesn’t hesitate. Within moments, Kalix is handcuffed, the cold steel pressing against his wrists.

As he’s led toward the holding cells, he finally feels it—relief.

Like the weight he’s carried for so long is finally slipping from his shoulders.

It doesn’t take long for the news to spread.

By midday, the entire school is buzzing. The headlines flash on every screen.

"Son of Business Mogul Surrenders for Hit-and-Run Case from Last Year."

Rose sees the news while eating alone in the cafeteria. The moment she reads the name, her hands tremble.

Jessie gasps, covering her mouth in shock when she sees the news on Tv while she was at home

Nick’s grip tightens around his phone.

Jessie: "Oh my god… he—he turned himself in?"

Nick: "Why the hell would he do that now?"

Rose’s throat is dry. Her head spins.

She pushes away from the table and storms out, ignoring Jessie’s calls after her.

For the first time since everything went to hell, she isn’t avoiding.

She’s running toward the truth.

Meanwhile, Kalix’s father is anything but silent.

Storming into the police station, his presence is a thunderstorm—loud, demanding, impossible to ignore.

Mr. Vance (Kalix’s Father): "Where is my son? I demand you release him right now!"

The officers exchange glances.

One of them stands, arms crossed.

Officer: "Your son confessed to a hit-and-run, sir. This isn’t something that just gets swept under the rug."

Kalix’s father scoffs, waving a dismissive hand.

Mr. Vance: "Confession or not, I have lawyers. Name your price, and I’ll have him out within the hour."

Then a new voice cuts through the room.

Kalix: "I don’t want your damn bail."

Everyone turns.

Kalix stands behind the bars, staring his father down with an expression colder than ice.

Kalix: "For once in my life, I’m doing the right thing. And I don’t need you fixing it."

His father’s face twitches.

Mr. Vance: "You don’t know what you’re saying. This will destroy your future—"

Kalix (firmly): "No. You destroyed my future the moment you turned me into your goddamn puppet."

A flicker of something crosses his father’s face—anger, desperation, but also fear.

Kalix steps forward, gripping the bars. His voice doesn’t shake.

Kalix: "You abused me. Controlled me. Made me feel like I was nothing without your approval. You forced me into a life I never wanted, and when I started slipping, you didn’t care. You only cared about your company. Your reputation."

His father’s jaw clenches.

Kalix: "Well, now the whole world knows what kind of man you really are. And guess what, Dad? Nobody’s coming to save you this time."

The room is silent.

Then an officer speaks.

Officer: "Mr. Vance, we have enough evidence to investigate claims of domestic abuse and coercion. You might want to call your lawyer—for yourself this time."

Kalix’s father stiffens.

For the first time, he looks powerless.

That evening, Rose storms into the police station.

She finds him in a holding cell, sitting on the bench with his head leaned back against the wall.

Rose (angrily): "What the hell were you thinking?!"

Kalix looks at her, a lazy smirk curling on his lips despite the situation.

Kalix: "Did you miss me that bad?"

Rose glares.

Rose: "You think this is funny? You’re in jail, Kalix!"

Kalix shrugs.

Kalix: "I did something wrong. Now I’m facing it."

Rose clenches her fists.

Rose: "You could’ve told me!"

Rose (softly): "You didn’t have to do this alone."

Kalix watches her, something unreadable in his eyes.

Then, he reaches through the bars, gently brushing his knuckles against her hand.

Kalix (whispering): "I never wanted to hurt you, Rose."

Tears well up in her eyes, but she blinks them away.

She doesn’t forgive him.

Not yet.

But for the first time, she sees him—not the arrogant, reckless Kalix. Not the golden boy with a perfect face and a bad reputation.

She sees a boy who is broken.

A boy who is finally trying to fix himself.

And maybe, just maybe… that’s enough.
