When it was getting late and it was dinner time Giyuu was fetched by maid servants. She was wearing a different dress and veil, this one made the mask more visible.
When she sat down, she noticed Kyogo looked ashamed. "I am so sorry." He said as he realized something. "How can she eat with the mask on?" Sanemi asked. "That is what I am apologizing for, I didn't take that into consideration and I apologize." Kyogo said.
"It is alright." She said before raising her hands and raising the veil over her face and behind her head and raised her hands and clicked the mask so only the bottom half came off revealing her mouth and some of her nose.
Kyogo and Sanemi could tell she was very beautiful without having to see her face. They could just tell.
The door opened and Genya walked in. "Genya, where are the rest of your siblings?" Kyogo asked. "They are in trouble with the chef, so the head maid sent them to eat in their rooms for tonight." Genya said sitting down. "Giyuu, this is my second oldest son, Genya." Kyogo said.
"Nice to meet you." Giyuu said. Genya nodded not sure wha to think of her since she was like a mystery.
The food was brought out and a really rare stake was put in front of Giyuu. "Is this a joke?" Sanemi asked glaring at the stake then at the server.
"Oh, no. We asked the lady how she liked her stake done and this was how she wanted it." The server responded as Giyuu picked up her utensils and started to cut into it. Cutting a decent piece and eating it.
She couldn't really eat food, unless it was meat and nearly raw so she was used to this. Kyogo cleared his throat to break the tension at the table. Genya kept staring at Giyuu while he was cutting his stake.
"Genya pay attention before you-" He was cut off by Genya cutting his hand. "Cut yourself..." He continued as he stood up. The cut wasn't too bad but some blood trickled down onto the table.
Giyuu dropped her utensils and grabbed the bottom part of her mask and locked it back on in place and put the veil over her face. "You didn't finish." Sanemi said noticing her food. "I have had my fill." She said moving the plate away from her. Her hands were shaking, the smell of the blood getting stronger and over powering the mask which was made to block the smells out.
She shot up and rushed out of the room. Kyogo looked up confused and Sanemi stood up and followed her.
She rushed into her room shutting and locking the door. She pulled off the veil and the mask and rummaged through her things looking for the vial and she twisted the top off and dropped a single drop into her mouth.
She sighed, she could still feel her urges enraged and she wanted to feed still but it was calmer. She closed the bottle and put it away and stood up to her feet. Just then there was a loud knock on her door.
She flinched and turned around. "Who is it?" She called out. "It is me, Sanemi." He said, she flinched hearing his name and rushed to grab the mask but she didn't know where she threw it. "One second!" She yelled looking for the mask or at least a veil that could cover her face enough.
She gave up and grabbed a pillow and used that to cover her face. She opened the door, she couldn't see his face but she knew she liked stupid. Sanemi couldn't help but smile.
"I came to ask if you were alright?" Sanemi asked. "I am. I just get quesy around blood." She said. "But you can eat a stake raw?" Sanemi asked, a hint of teasing in his voice. Giyuu was embarrassed and she cleared her throat. "I suppose it sound strange..." She answered. "Well I just came to check on you, and I went back for something before coming here." Sanemi said.
"What is it?" Giyuu asked. "I'll set it inside and you can have it later, if you don't want it call the maid servants to remove it." He said stepping into the room and placing what he had on the a table and he stepped out.
"I hope you can enjoy it, I'll see you tomorrow." He said. "Okay, thank you." She said as she shut the door.
She lowered the pillow and turned around to see what Sanemi had left her, she turned and looked and was shocked to see her half eaten stake sitting on the table, he set up the table for her, so it could be as if she was eating it back in the dining room.
She dropped the pillow and walked forward and sat in the chair and started to eat the stake, she smiled, she could tell that even though he was rough around the edges he was kind. She went to sleep and she knew it would be a long day tomorrow.
Early in the morning she was awoken to knocking on the door, she sat up and found the mask that she threw across the room, it was by the bed. She put it on and walked to the door and opened it. "Hello, My lady, the dress maker is here to finish the design Lord Shinazugawa sent yesterday." The maid servant explained. Giyuu nodded and she quickly got ready and was brought in.
She let Kyogo pick the dress and today was the day they would alter it to her body. She had the dress on and it was beautiful.
It was white of course but it complemented all her features. "We got the designs for your mask from your father and we made one to match, along with a veil.
She took the mask and looked at it, it was beautiful.
At the end of the session she was walking back to her room when she was stopped by a question. "Are you allowed to walk outside under an umbrella?" She turned around and Sanemi was walking towards her a umbrella, a really big umbrella in his hand.
"I can." She said. "Then let's go, my younger sibling was to meet you." He said. She was a little hesitant since she was wearing lighter clothes today.
They walked around for a bit but there still was no sight of a child. The sun was setting and it would be getting dark soon. "We are not meeting your younger siblings are we?" She asked. "No, I used that as an excuse to walk with you...I am leaving the day after we get married, I don't know when I'll be back but I leave you in my family's care." Sanemi spoke, "I also wanted to ask if you were hiding something? Apart from your face." He asked.
"I-uh..." she said stopping in her tracks. "Is it really okay to tell him?" She thought to herself. She stayed silent and looked down, he sighed. "Here how about this, you tell me if I come back?" He asked. She looked up ever so slightly and nodded.
He escorted her back inside and bid her a good night, she got ready for bed and slept soundly, she seemed relaxed despite knowing she was getting married tomorrow.
