Two Worlds Collide.

Ivy's pov:

Lola was the last to leave the classroom, leaving me all alone with Miss Dowling, Miss Dowling came and stood in-front of me before raising her hand palm outwards towards the classroom door using her magic to close and lock the door behind Lola, lowering her hand Miss Dowling turned to face me, those beautiful brown eyes of hers looked directly into my green almost emerald eyes.

Unable to look into her eyes anymore, fear of getting lost in them, I glance down to look at my hands as I nervously twiddle my fingers.

"I'm sorry I was late this morning Miss Dowling, it won't happen again," I said even though Miss Dowling hadn't looked upset with me, however it was the only thing I could think to say in this moment, Miss Dowling took a firm however gentle hold of my chin, tilting my face upwards so that once again I was looking directly into her beautiful brown eyes.

"I understand why you were late this morning," Miss Dowling says to me, and I couldn't help thinking to myself, if only you knew the half of it, "That isn't the reason why I asked you to stay behind," Miss Dowling says finally letting go of my face and I instantly miss her touch and the warmth of her skin.

"Is the reason why you asked me to stay behind because of what I did to Kim?" I asked fighting the urge to look away again.

"I should give you a detention, however from what I hear, Kim deserved what she got," Miss Dowling tells me with the sweetest smile, I smile back at her as relief washes over me, "I wanted to talk to you about the fact that you have seen to have not only learned how to control your water magic, however you have also seem to have unlocked unknown magic," Miss Dowling explained to me.

"FUCK!" I think to myself, as I try to think of a way out of this that doesn't end up with me in detention or suspended from school for breaking so many school rules, not only had I left school grounds, I had also missed curfew and stayed out all night, so yes unfortunately no matter how much I wanted to tell Miss Dowling everything about what happened to me last night, plus my new found mermaid tail and magic, I couldn't risk getting into trouble.

"Look whatever happened last night, you can talk to me," Miss Dowling said placing a hand on my shoulder, I look at her hand on my shoulder and smiled at her hand, before looking back up into her eyes as I also place my hand on top of hers, we stay like that for what felt like an eternity, though in reality it was only a few seconds.

"I guess it finally just clicked, I mean you did tell me to deal with whatever was distracting me and I guess that distraction was Kim, now that she is no longer a distraction and never will be again, I'm finally able to connect fully with water magic," I hate not being able to tell Miss Dowling the truth, I made a promise to myself right then and there, I would go back to Mako island and try to find some answers as to what happened to me last night and how I now have a mermaid tail.

"I'm glad you are no longer distracted, however that doesn't explain why you suddenly appear to be using magic unknown to us," Miss Dowling says narrowing her eyes a little at me as those she doesn't quite believe me.

"Maybe it's lost magic," I added removing my hand from Miss Dowling's hand that was still on my shoulder as I shift slightly in my seat, Miss Dowling however kept her hand on my shoulder as she takes a tiny step closer to me and for a moment I forget how to breathe.

"No where in our history, is there any mention of a fairy being able to bend water the way you just did, we are able to manipulate, reshape and even move water, but bending water never in our history," Miss Dowling tells me before giving my shoulder a squeeze, before placing that same hand onto my cheek as her facial expression soften, "I know that for whatever reason you are not telling me the full story, I want to help, if you let me," Miss Dowling reassured me.

Neither one of us spoke, both of us in our own thoughts, no matter how hard I tried to convince myself that confiding in Miss Dowling would be a very bad idea, I also knew I was going to need help trying to figure out what had happened to me last night especially since a big part of my memory from last night was missing and if anyone could help me figure out what happened it was Miss Dowling, I mean she wasn't just beautiful, she was so smart and just needed to make sure I wouldn't get into any trouble.

"Can I trust you?" I asked looking down at my hands again, I hated myself for having to ask as I did trust Miss Dowling.

"Of course you can," Miss Dowling says with a hint of hurt in her voice, taking a deep inhale, I looked up meeting her eyes again.

"Alright, just please keep in mind that, I was extremely upset last night and needed to be by myself," I explained to Miss Dowling, god she was standing so close to me that I could barely think straight.

"No matter what you tell me, we are in this together," Miss Dowling says taking my face in both her hands, causing me to straighten up in my seat, I take a big risk by placing my hands on her hips pulling her a little closer into me, as she gently pulls my face upwards towards her face until our lips are only inches apart.

"Miss Dowling?" I whisper against her lips as I wrap my arms around her, holding her in place.

"Did I forget to tell you; how happy I was when I heard that you and Kim had finally broken up? You deserve so much better," Miss Dowling tells me, and I couldn't quite believe what I was hearing or what was happening, without thinking I lean forward that last inch until our lips met in our first kiss.

Miss Dowling placed one of her hands at the back of my head so that she could deepen our kiss as I moan into her mouth, this kiss was so much better than I could have ever imagined, I found myself getting lost in her kiss, getting lost in her, I never wanted this moment to end.

Unfortunately, Miss Dowling pulled away from me, at hearing someone screaming, without a word she runs over to the classroom door unlocking it, she turns back to me.

"Come to my office this evening for a private lesson and don't be late," Miss Dowling ordered me before running out the door, leaving me sitting there alone in the classroom.
