Something dangerous was bubbling inside Siddharth. His mind was giving him a hard time processing the information.

His eyes went as stormy as the outside weather.

He clenched his wrists and eyes fixed on the man standing so close to his woman. Deep down, he knew the distance between them wasn't exactly wrong. But that didn't mean he liked it.

Siddharth developed this feeling of jealousy. And Anger. His first instinct was to walk up and punch the guy, just once, hard enough to feel better. But he also wanted to pull Avika into his arms, kiss her like in the movies, and then drive away from this building with her.

Though he knew he couldn't do any of that. Not right now. Not like this.

Because this is just a contract for her...

So, he shoved his hands into his pockets, took a deep breath, and told himself to calm down. He had no right. Not yet. But man, it was hard for him to just stand there and act normal.

"Oh! Siddharth. You're here. We both have found—"
That's all Siddharth heard. His brain loved the way his name slipped out of her mouth but icked at the word 'both'.

And just like that, his thoughts split in two.

One side was screaming—jealousy, anger and frustration.
The other side was calmer but confused, asking, "Why does this mattering so much to you? Why are these words and that small distance between them bothering you... like, way more than they should?"

He knew the answer. He might've never said it out loud, but he had whispered those four words to himself at the night he first met her. "I love you, Avika Singh."

Meanwhile, Avika was just staring at Siddharth, wondering why he looked like he was trying to burn a hole through the poor penholder on her desk. Seriously, what did that pen ever do to him?

And Arhan? He stiffened. Not a lot, just a little. But enough for Avika to notice.
Arhan stepped away from my side and walked up to Siddharth, his expression calm but serious.

"We've found a few things," he said, stopping in front of him. "Thought you should know as the Ceo's boyfriend."

Siddharth raised an eyebrow nonchalantly, "Go on."

"Mr. Joshi, Delights HR, is involved. There were leaks. Internal ones. Emails, messages, blaming, corruption, but when you connect the dots, they all lead back to—Organic Bites."
