Few days later, when Alfonso had finally recovered, and as promised, he took Andrea shopping.
The sun was high, casting a golden glow over the clean, bustling streets lined with luxury boutiques.
Andrea walked beside him, eyes sparkling as she scanned the storefronts like a kid in a candy shop.
" You’re really going to follow me around all day without complaining? "
She teased, glancing up at him.
Alfonso’s lips curled into a soft smirk.
" That depends on how many shoe stores you plan to drag me into."
She grinned, tugging gently on his wrist.
" Just a few dozen."
He chuckled under his breath, letting her lead him into a sleek, high-end fashion store.
His men trailed them at a respectful distance, but this time, there was no tension. No one watching.
Just the sound of soft jazz music and Andrea’s delighted hums.
Andrea walked beside him, excitement dancing in her eyes as she looked around at the high-end boutiques lining the charming streets.
The sun peeked through the clouds, casting a soft glow over the city, and the buzz of the afternoon crowd added to the lively atmosphere.
Alfonso, calm and composed as ever, walked beside her, his hands tucked into the pockets of his tailored coat.
His sharp gaze scanned the surroundings, not out of caution, but simply out of habit. His men trailed discreetly behind them, keeping a respectful distance, more out of routine than necessity.
" Where do we go first? "
Andrea asked, glancing up at him, her voice light and cheerful.
He sighed, but a small smirk tugged at his lips.
" Wherever you want."
She grinned and immediately grabbed his wrist, pulling him toward a luxury fashion store.
" Then let’s start here! "
He let her drag him inside, watching as she eagerly browsed through dresses and accessories. She held up a dress against herself and turned to him.
"What do you think?"
His eyes roamed over her form before he leaned in slightly.
"You’ll look beautiful in anything, but that is not bad."
She playfully rolled her eyes.
"Not bad? That's all I get?"
He chuckled.
"Fine. It looks perfect. Now, are you going to try it on?"
He let her tug him inside without resistance, quietly amused.
Andrea’s joy was contagious, and he found himself enjoying the way she lit up under the soft glow of the boutique lights.
She flitted through racks of dresses and accessories, occasionally holding something up with a bright,
" What about this? "
At one point, she held a sleek dress against herself and turned toward him.
" Thoughts? "
His eyes softened as they swept over her.
" You’d look beautiful in anything, but that is perfect."
