Back in time

I sat quietly on the couch in newly changed clothes with my white locks hanging in front of my head, I could faintly hear mister Xiaoshi talking with someone on the phone.

She didn't seem very nice but I wouldn't judge people, dad said it's not nice.
My head was feeling better and it wasn't as cold as it was earlier so I'm quite happy right now. "Oh, hey you got dressed fast, Let's fix your head up and then we can go get some ice cream, okay?"

I nodded slowly not to disturb my head, I hoped down from the couch and was picked up by cheng as he walked over to the counter setting me down. He seemed more quiet than he normally was, usually he's talking to me about three different things at once and now he's just staring at the ground.

"Are you okay Xiao Xiao, y-you're looking at the ground?"

He sucked in a huge breath and released it smiling wide, does his face hurt. "I'm a-ok, just thought I saw some blood on the floor, nope just my amazing brain." He picked me up after finishing reading doing the bandages.

"We got ice cream with our names on it, let's gooo!"

"YEAH!"

I raised my hands in the air, he looked shocked at the sudden outburst then he smiled. We practically ran out of the shop and down the street, I could hear some people yelling about running around in public but I didn't care, I saw some mothers smiling knowingly.

Now that I think about it, cheng was kinda like my older brother.
We stopped at the ice cream shop and walked inside, he shifted me in his arms so I could see all the flavors.

"What do you want Lu?" I looked over all the options before carefully choosing. "Strawberry."

He pointed to the strawberry and rocky road. We (cheng) walked out back with ice cream in our hands and on my face. "Thank you Xiao Xiao!" He nodded as we entered the photo shop house.

"I guess you wont be taking a nap anytime soon huh?" He sighed setting me on the bottom bunk once again, I had already finished my ice cream and am now rolling around and jumping on the fluffy heaven bed.

He sat the phone with a game already pulled up on the pillow next to me, I grabbed it began to play the game while he got dressed and cleaned the ice cream of my face.

I felt the sugar rush start to leave as I was comfy in the nice warm bed. I felt the phone slowly slip out of my hands as I fought to stay awake. I felt the bed dip and a larger body sat next to me and grabbed the phone.
