In this alternate universe, Midoriya’s transformation remained, and she embraced her new life with strength, sass, and a heart still full of dreams. Somewhere along the way, Todoroki started seeing her not just as a classmate or fellow hero—but as someone he genuinely admired and cared for. Deeply.
Their relationship began quietly, with shared tea breaks and long conversations about quirks, responsibility, and the occasional frustration with overprotective dads.
“You’re lucky,” Todoroki once told her, sipping cold tea. “You only have two dads. I have an entire flame-throwing legacy breathing down my neck.”
“You say that like Yamada isn’t chaos incarnate,” she replied.
Todoroki smiled. “Fair.”
Eventually, Todoroki decided it was time—time for Midoriya to meet his family. The Fuyumi-Family-Apocalypse Incident
They stood at the front door of the Todoroki residence. Midoriya adjusted her scarf, slightly nervous.
“You don’t think your dad will, I don’t know, challenge me to a duel, do you?”
“No,” Todoroki said thoughtfully. “But he might offer to sponsor your future children’s hero careers.”
“...What?!”
The door opened.
“Shoto!” Fuyumi greeted, smiling warmly. “And you must be Midoriya! We’ve heard so much about you.”
“Oh no,” Midoriya whispered.
Inside, things went as expected—with mild chaos.
Fuyumi tried to offer a six-course meal within ten minutes. Natsuo kept making veiled comments like, “So this is the girl who melted the Ice Prince’s heart.”
Endeavor stood at the corner of the room like a looming statue of fire and awkwardness. He grunted.
“You like katsudon?” he asked.
“Y-Yes?”
“You’ll fit in.”
Midoriya blinked.
“What he means is he’s weirdly obsessed with feeding people now,” Natsuo muttered.
At one point, Todoroki leaned in and whispered, “You’re doing great.”
“You didn’t warn me your family’s scarier than villains.”
“You punched Overhaul. You’ll survive dinner.”Later That Evening
Midoriya and Todoroki walked back to the dorms under a starlit sky.
“You were amazing,” Todoroki said.
“I think your dad winked at me.”
“That... might have been a muscle spasm.”
Midoriya laughed.
Then Todoroki stopped, gently took her hand, and looked into her eyes.
“I know I’m not the best at expressing myself. But I want you in my life. And not just for today.”
Her heart skipped.
“I want to be someone who supports you like you’ve supported all of us.”
Midoriya blushed. “You just want me because I punched Dabi that one time.”
“That was a little bit attractive, yes.”
She laughed—and leaned in.
They kissed under the moonlight. Soft. Honest. Warm like fire. Quiet like snow.
And perfect.
