There were few things in the world that felt as comforting, chaotic, and effortlessly home-like as being part of the Stray Kids friend group. The eight of them were loud, ridiculous, and impossibly close-each one carrying their own quirks, their own energy, but somehow fitting together like puzzle pieces carved by time and love.

And then there was Y/N.

She wasn't just the youngest in age-though she was, by a year or two-but she was also the softest. The most babied. The one they all instinctively looked out for, teased with affection, and wrapped around with unspoken protectiveness.

She was their little sister.

Well... not to everyone looked at her as their little but something more then that.

"Y/N, please you're gonna break your neck standing on that chair!" Bangchan shouted.

"Hyung, she's literally reaching for cereal." Changbin said.

"Still dangerous." Bangchan defended.

The group's shared apartment was always full of this energy-music playing somewhere in the background, snacks scattered on the coffee table, someone always yelling from one room to another. Today, it was Minho yelling from the kitchen, Chan fixing a broken speaker, and Jeongin complaining about the unfairness of losing in Mario Kart for the fifth time.

And Y/N?

She was tiptoeing on a chair to reach the top shelf where Leeknow had-once again-stashed the good snacks.

Felix appeared out of nowhere, hands gripping her waist firmly as he tugged her down from the chair, brows furrowed.

"Seriously, just ask one of us next time," he said softly but firmly, his Aussie accent coming through more when he was worried. "You're gonna give me a heart attack."
