🐺 BANGCHAN 🐺
It had started as a relaxed get-together at a cozy restaurant.....just the members, Y/N, and a couple of close friends. The lights were dim, the music soft, and laughter floated around the table as dishes of food were passed back and forth.
Chan had already noticed Y/N's telltale signs: the flush creeping up her cheeks, the way her eyes went glassy, and that giggly little hum she made when she was tipsy. He leaned in to check on her, but before he could ask if she was okay, she suddenly looked at him with the most serious expression he had ever seen.
"Chan," she whispered, tugging on his sleeve. "Do you think clouds ever... get tired of floating?"
He blinked at her, caught between laughter and confusion. "...What?"
"You know," she continued earnestly, her eyes wide and glittering under the warm light. "Like... they float all day. Every day. Do you think they ever just want to... lie down? Like... what if clouds have feelings too?"
The table erupted in laughter, but Chan only chuckled softly. He propped his elbow on the table, resting his chin on his hand as he gazed at her like she was the most fascinating thing in the room. "That's an interesting thought. Maybe they do get tired. Maybe rain is just... when clouds are crying because they've had enough."
Her jaw dropped. "Chan! You're a genius! That makes so much sense!" She smacked the table dramatically, nearly knocking over her drink.
"Whoa, careful," he laughed, steadying the glass for her while taking a tissue to wipe out the spilles drink.
But Y/N wasn't done. Her drunk brain had gone full philosopher mode. "But wait... if clouds are crying when it rains, then... does that mean we're all just... walking under giant sadness showers???"
The boys were practically crying from laughter at this point, Hyunjin doubling over while Han slapped the table. But Chan wasn't laughing at her.....he was indulging her, nodding along as if she had uncovered the mysteries of the universe.
"That's... kind of true," he said seriously, staring up at the ceiling as if pondering the great unknown. "We might actually be walking under sadness showers."
Y/N gasped, looking at him with pure admiration. "You understand me," she whispered dramatically, clutching his arm.
Chan smiled, soft and warm, and covered her hand with his. "Of course I do."
