As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting a warm golden glow across the cove, Anna and Hagrid stayed behind, spending time with Feathers and Toothless.

The two dragons lounged near the water, Feathers gently preening her feathers while Toothless sprawled out beside her with a lazy huff.

Anna's heart was light, the joy from her first flight with Feathers still fresh in her mind.

She sat cross-legged beside her dragon, running her fingers along the saddle feeling proud of the progress they had made.

Toothless occasionally peeked over at her with curious eyes and Anna grinned, tossing him a smooth pebble she found nearby.

He caught it in his mouth, only to immediately spit it out with an exaggerated shake of his head, making her laugh.

It was peaceful and for a while, she let herself just enjoy the company of the dragons and the gentle hush of the waves lapping at the shore.

But as the sky darkened to a deep violet and the stars began to twinkle overhead, Anna's thoughts drifted back to Hiccup.

She'd promised she'd stop by the forge that evening and a flutter of anticipation stirred in her chest hoping he hadn't finished without her.

"I think I'm going to head out" she said, her voice soft "I'll walk over to the forge, I promised to see Hiccup, and... I need to talk to him."

Hagrid nodded, understanding without needing any explanation "don't be out too late, lass. You've got more work ahead of ye tomorrow, I'm sure."

Anna nodded and gave him a quick wave before walking toward the path that led to Berk's village.

As she moved through the darkening landscape, the quiet of the evening surrounded her.

The air was crisp, and the sound of waves crashing against the cliffs below mixed with the soft rustle of leaves in the breeze. The familiar path felt different under the veil of night but Anna's steps were sure, her heart set on finding Hiccup.

It didn't take long to reach the forge, the warm light from the glowing fire inside spilled out into the night as she approached.

Anna hesitated for a moment before stepping inside, the familiar scent of metal and smoke filling the air.

Anna crept closer, careful not to make a sound.

Through the open doorway, she saw Hiccup at his workbench, wiping sweat from his brow as he stepped back to admire his latest creation and an updated saddle for Toothless, sleek and carefully detailed.

     He hadn't seen her yet.

Anna grinned, then tiptoed a little closer and called out brightly "looks like someone's been busy!"

Hiccup jumped slightly, his hand instinctively going to the tool belt at his waist before he turned and saw her, startled but smiling "Anna! you scared me."

She laughed, stepping inside "sorry! I couldn't help myself."

He chuckled, shaking his head "you're lucky I didn't throw a hammer"

"You wouldn't dare" she teased, walking over to get a better look at the saddle "is this the new one for Toothless?"

"Yeah" he said, his expression softening as he looked at it "just finished it."

Anna's eyes lit up as she examined the details "it's amazing, Hiccup really, it looks perfect. He's going to love it."

Hiccup glanced at her, a proud but tired smile tugging at his lips "thanks, I was hoping you'd come by before I wrapped up."
