As Veer left the house exactly the same way he had entered, furious, disappointed and annoyed, the siblings exchanged known glances with each other.
Zaara got her mind ready to wash his bike for the whole year to gain his forgiveness. Viren was already planning to gift him a car he had been saving to buy for a very long time, the only problem was, where they would park, but anything to convince his younger brother.
"Give him some time, he will come around, but yeah, I agree with him, you both should start sharing your emotions openly, especially with him and with each other. Bechara, kya karega bina kuch samjhe" Raghav sided Veer, understanding his plight.
"Ji Chachu, In all our troubles, he always stood for both of us, I can understand how hurt he would be, I will make sure never to put him in such situations ever again", Viren spoke knowing where things had gone wrong.
"I tried but Bhai toh sunn hi nahi rahein", Anu came in breathing faster as she had ran behind to stop him.
"It's fine Anu, we will talk once he is back, voh sab chhodo, pehle yeh batao, Rohail ne Bhaiya ko bataya, par, Bhai ko kisne bataya?", Zaara asked, eyeing Rohail intently, he had broken their bro code, not that she didn't but he had snitched.
"Z, voh ...., maine hi bataya, before you accuse me of snitching, flashback sunlo", Anu said, and all four looked up as if a screen was going to appear, realising he was just following the three musketeer's reactions, Viren gently tapped Zaara on her head, bringing her back to reality.
"Movie nahi hai ki koyi video frame sar ke upar chalegi. Come to the point", Viren said, letting anu explain in detail and Anu started her tell-tale.
At 11.30 am the same day
"Ro yaar, bhai kyu call kar rahe hai ab?", Anu panicked looking at her caller Id.
She wasn't sure if it was a good idea to share this piece of information, she knew his temper, not just through Zaara's terrifying stories, but also from their first meeting, she dreaded being in his bad books.
She thanked heavens for making it right in his good side through her academic qualities.
"Pick kar na, par, Zaara ke baare mein kuch mat bolo", he said still looking keenly at the location tracker, a relief that Viren bhaiya had reached the location already.
"What if he asks?", she questioned, she wasn't good at lying, unlike her twin.
"As if you have never lied, kuch bol dena", Ro dismissed not giving heed to her pleads.
She slowly swiped the phone to answer the call, just to hear a panicking voice.
"Anu? Hello?", Veer voiced from the other side, he was still in the medical camp, it was in a nearby school.
"Bhai, kya hua?", Anu tried to be as casual as she could.
"Kya hua? Voh mujhe puchna chahiye. Zaara wahi hai na?", Veer asked, he had been calling everyone it was either busy or went unanswered.
"Haan, washroom gayi hai", Anu lied effortlessly, she was being an idiot, if Viren bhaiya knew, eventually he would know right? But her dumb brain thought she was saving Zaara from another trouble.
"Fine, I will wait on call", his heart said something was wrong, he just needed confirmation that Zaara was safe.
Anu panicked, her lies were going to be caught and for the first time with Veer bhai and not her father.
"Bh-bhai, I will ask her to call, aap ko kaam hoga na", she stuttered in anxiety.
"I have got a very long break, but you know what, now speak the truth, Zaara kahan hai", Veer's voice turned firm for the first time in the conversation.
